Watching Redskins games, with my family and friends, classic! The conversations afterwards, legendary! So. I'm not going to get into the Woulda, coulda, shoulda's, of this game. We've all seen this year after year. Redskins dominate the stats, but when you look at the win and loss column, it's a L. My question to you guys. What is it going to take, for this team to become a consistent winner? And how long do you think it'll take? I like the effort, but it means nothing, if they don't learn from it, and translate it into wins. I think they need a core group of players, with a refuse to lose attitude. I'm talking about young guys like, Robinson, Amerson, Williams, Baker, and Kerrigan, Morris, and last , but not least, the QB. I think all of these guys have high ceilings. They must stop the stupid penalties. I think they had 131 yards in penalties, today. 98 yards in penalties, last week, unacceptable. They also have stop the horrendous special teams play, kickers included. Another thing would be, stick with the coach, for the long haul. Redskins can't keep hiring and firing coaches. I have a few more , but I like to hear you guys thoughts. Remember, I said consistent winner, not a game here and there. Oh! And I don't have clue, how long it'll take this team to come together. Until then, i'll keep my oxygen tank handy.

You ask what it takes to be a consistent winner...you answered your own question. It is consistency.

We need consistency from the FO, the coaches, and the players. The players have to be the right players though for whatever system we are running. We also need to stop chasing players.

You mentioned kicker. He had made 18 straight and missed one...over the last 19 attempts he is 95% and you want him gone. That just doesn't make sense.

Gk... of his misses most have been in game winning or game tieing situations. Its quite possible Forbath has Romoitis. Add in the fact that he is incapable of protecting his coverage team on kickoffs and the reality is that we should be looking for a new kicker.

Bottom line is he might be consistent, but fuck all knows he aint clutch.

Guys he shouldn't have been out there today. He was hurt. Im shocked he hit that 49 yard FG. I believe we lost this game today the Eagles didn't win it. Its a tough pill to swallow. It ruined KC debut.

Guys, how many young kickers are we going to run out of here that go elsewhere and shine. we need to realize that kickers need to season. They get better with age. Now we have one that is 18 for his last 19. Yes, he missed an important one. But this is what young kickers do. Shouldn't we wait for a bit longer before we send him packing for a productive career somewhere else?

But previous guys like Gano, Akers and Sushium all had the ability to get touchbacks and hit the 50+ yard FG. I don't see that with Forbath. There is no upside to him. If Hocker didn't miss that 37 yarder in preseason, I believe he would of made the team over Forbath. Forbath cant kick off, cant hit the 50+ plus yarder, and chokes in the clutch. Why keep him?

Well, he has hit a 50. He hit a 49yd today with plenty of room. You keep him for the reasons I stated above. Kickers need experience. Just like a QB. If you keep bringing in a new one, you never have one that becomes productive. We should at least give him the rest of the season. We will know more then.

Seriously. With all of our STs issue, you focus on one missed kick over the last 19 attempts?

Some good points gk, but I never said that I wanted the kicker gone. I would like him, along with all of the players, be clutch, under pressure. At some point, they need to win these type of division games. The last division team they defeated, Dallas in 2012. Some how some way, they have to dig deeper, and start gaining respect, in the division. Right now, they're the whipping boys, of the division.

I just disagree jy19. He has no upside. He misses another kick inside 40 yards I believe he is gone. Just my opinion.

j_y... most of those last 19 kicks had little or no pressure on them. I dont care if a guy can hit a 50 yarder when we are down 34-14 if he cant make a 33 yarder when the game is on the line. When the game is on his foot, I dont trust him to make it. And if we need a kickoff that will protect our coverage unit, simply put he doesnt have the leg for it.

I agree about the kickoff. That is a concern. But you are off base about the pressure. Every kick these guys attempt are laden with pressure. Again, kickers get better with age. They learn how to handle that game winning situation. If we have a chance at a proven vet, i'm all ears. But bring in another raw kicker and we will be here again talking about how we need to find a more consistent kicker.

Just heard Al Michaels say Suisum has made 23 straight FGs. We ran him out of here because he was inconsistent......when are we going to learn??

We need to stop these gut reactions after every game. We need to look at what this game really told us. Here's what I took away: we can beat those guys. Hell, we should have beat them. We are not the 3-13 team of last year. Mark my words, we will be in a playoff hunt before this season ends. We are also going to upset someone. Making rash decisions at this point can only serve to disrupt. If you want to fire someone, start with the STs coach.
