I dont see one player i would give that honor to and as far as coaches, Peterson, Patterson, and as much as it pains me to say it possibly miles and Meyer. The last two have a ways to go to get that distinction in my book though. Kelly wasnt a coach in CFB long enough, Tressel has an asterisk and air of impropriety about his years at YSU and tOSU, not completely clear he is as ethical and has the INTEGRITY that he preaches. Carrol is a head scratcher as it was never proven he knew or had anything to do with the USC situation, but he was coach so its his fault no matter what. And Petrino is a spineless bastard that should be sentenced to mandatory counseling for his lack of morals and snake in the grass ways. WKU should lock the female dorms and monitor its female staff 24-7.

Chip didn't win any championships. No place in the HOF at all. Petersen hasn't either, but coming from a mid-major he doesn't have to. He has only been HC at BSU for 7 seasons. Needs a much larger body of work. Pete? That's a tough call. He did win championships and had one of the toughest defenses in the nation for several years. Just didn't stick around all that long. The sanctions probably wouldn't hurt him.

I'd put in Adrian Peterson only.

Of the coaches...

Chris Peterson is the only one I would put in right now. Urban Meyer would go in if he leads Ohio st. to a Natty or a couple BCS bowls. I'd also let Miles in if he wins another NC with LSU and a BCS bowl or two.

No on White, I think he just wasn't that good to begin with. No on Russell, I mean what did Russell really do in college? No on Peterson, he is the best back I've ever seen in college or the pros but he wasn't on the field enough IMO. Yes on Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart. Great college football players, great stats, 2 championships, no brainer for me.

On the players side, all but JaMarcus Russell. A lot of Heisman winners in that group.

Coaches: Pete Carroll, Jim Tressel, and likely Urban Meyer. The rest, no.

Are you saying Championship appearances? Pete Carroll's USC only won 1 NC against Oklahoma. They lost to Texas in the 2nd one.
