Need to keep 6-9 of these players. I know keeping both Trout and Altuve really fucks me as far as putting together a complete roster. I plan on keeping Santana, Healy, Castellanos, maybe Martin, in addition to Trout and/or Altuve. 12 team league, which is why I was considering Martin.

Who would you keep, and would you try to keep both Trout and Altuve?

I have a similar problem in my auction keeper... But yours is not really a problem... Of course you keep both... doesn't matter that together they cost 91... yes that's a lot... but they are both top 5 picks in a redraft(Trout of course being the first)...

Also, the rest of your roster is not that good, and I don't like ANY of your other potential keepers at all... I think it would have been different if you had 6-9 good keepers, but you don't...

Assuming that this is a 260 salary cap, you still have plenty of money to spend elsewhere...

Healy for $5 should be a bargain, and If Castellanos can repeat last year and stay healthy, he could be one too.

People spend so much so early in the draft, I'll have to sit back until the mid to late rounds and pick up some cheaper players.

salary cap is $250. There is always cheap pitching available late.

Yeah, you have probably the top 2 players in fantasy right now. You keep them and figure everything else out.

I think you have to keep Happ considering his price. Better value than Santana.

For your 6?

Trout
Altuve
Happ

Those 3 are no brainers. 100 points for 3 guys who are real contributors.

Healy for 5 is pretty solid

Santana at 11 is prety legit.

The rest i wouldn't touch. Do you have to keep 6? If Strahm was a starter he'd be a no brainer but it sounds like he's no better than #7 or 8 on the SP depth chart.

I will say if it's an OBP league, Carlos Santana is probably a bargain too.

what's the scoring system?

Would do martin Perez over Santana... but would probably be forced into both... Don't like either... But money is money...

I agree with this... BUT if it is NOT OBP then he is a HUGE liability...

Perez is closing in on a 1:1 K:BB ratio.

Hard pass at basically any price.

Yeah he lacks many legit bargains.

Strahm was one before all this wheeling and dealing. I still might keep him anyway. Karns, Wood and Young all can be legitimately claimed to be better value as RPs (to the Royals).

Strahm has some really interesting skills for a SP.

I'm on the fence with Strahm. If the 5 starter sucks, Strahm could maybe fill in. Long-term, they see him as a starter, just maybe not his year.

Just a random question, how is 90% of your roster expiring contracts?

They aren't. The "1", means that last year was their first year of their current salary.

Oh nice.

Yeah, still doesn't really help.

You got 5 guys who you should keep.

Do you absolutely have to keep 6?

if you have to keep AT LEAST 6, then I would be keeping only 6 with this team... the 6 I would keep:

Trout-49
Altuve-42
Happ-9
Healy-5(only because he is one of your cheapest)
1 of Graveman, Perez or Strahm-5( None are good, but you are keeping them because you have nobody else and you need to go cheap)
Castelanos-15(not a good keeper at this price, but he is your HIGHEST upside player left, and he is cheap enough)

that would be a total of 125, so you have 125 left...

No doubt that is tough... but there should be value in SP available... I would still probably pay 60 for 2 players as you need an ace and you need one more power bat...

what would gray go for if he had put up his typical season before last year's abomination?

not sure, but Joulys Chain went for $16 last year.

Healy may not be very good yet, but you cant find an everyday 3b with 20-25 home run power for $5.

My team is pretty bare, but I traded Bundy, Smyly, Polanco, Lindor, McCullers.

3 or 4 guys I would probably keep this year, but I was making a run at some money.
