He doesn't want to be part of a rebuilding job, he just wanted to get paid. I bet the Raiders are paying him double what the Broncos were willing to do.
I read that the Raiders didn't really give him a lot more than the Broncos were willing to give him. I'm thinking it was less than a million. Can't remember where I got those numbers, though. I think I saw it on twitter last night.
He has a winery not too far away from Oakland. Maybe he sampled a little too much of his own product the night before?
Actually it may have come down to how the Broncos / Rahduhs would use him. I read he was probably going to be a backup / nickle player in Denver, maybe Oakland gave him a starting position. You would think a nominal amount of money (by NFL standards) wouldn't have made the difference. But as Cali said you can't fix stupid.
I think HOF is closer to the truth. He would not see much playing time in Denver, he only played 7 games last year and he had a whopping 2 picks. He did not have that much of an impact. Don't see him making a hue impact if he signed here.
His experience would be a plus, but if he is only here 1 year? I think he went for the money and to retire where he started his career.
