Yes, people are assholes every day in America. I would think we are all adults and know this. Why are suddenly suprised? Nobody is condoning the act, but to make it out to be some special event that needs massive investigations is pathetic.

Proven claims are very rare. Hoaxes happen more often. Again, when is the last time a race-claimed scandal in sports was proven true?

This is the second time I've asked. If you're a good faith debator, I expect you to directly answer it.

I don’t really care about proven to be true.

And why you limiting this to sports? You think it can’t happen in an arena?

I am talking about every day. You look like a raging asshole saying you don’t believe it could be true when you have absolutely nothing to go by.

Cmon man.

Are people A-holes every day? Yes. I never said otherwise. I just refuse to say that a white to black offensive comment is different than a black to white racial comment, or some sort of questioning of a man's manhood, etc. Hate speech really doesn't exist. It's just being an asshole. Most "hate speech" is openly said by the black community, they just racially profile people as evil by the color of the skin of those who say it. If the word is that evil, they wouldn't say it. They use it to disrepect each other too. It's a dumb word if we're talking N-bombs.

If they say "we can say it, you can't".... they're the ones looking through a racist lens. I think nooone should say it. Yet, we see examples like a girl who was drunk at a party singling along to a rap song and saying the N-word to the actual lyrics, and was video-taped and ruined. Seems retarded to me. If we want to be free of racial prejudice, we need to hold the same standards for all.

I tried to give you some advice.

You are just very wrong here.

Easy to say all of this from the lense of privilege.

Really? "privilege"... that's a face-palm.

What "privilege" do I have? Here's a second question you have to answer.

the first is: when was the last race claimed scandal proven true in sports.

It's time to start manning up here dude.

I don’t care.

Sports in general tend to transcend race because players of all backgrounds have to work together.

I am talking about life.

And your posts on this topic are a bad look for you.

Again, it seems pretty simple...accusations shouldn't automatically be believed or disbelieved. But if they are deemed serious enough, they should be taken seriously and investigated.

I don't know if Indiana fans did what was claimed...I would tend to think that if it's true...there's video somewhere. Even if there isn't, it doesn't mean it didn't happen. From what I've heard, players, regardless of race, get all kinds of vile shit said to them by fans, we just don't hear much about it because the players, for the most part don't say anything or react unless that fan has crossed a line ane said something about their family.

By the same token, someone claiming it happened, doesn't mean it did.

The WNBA seems to think it's at least worth looking into otherwise they wouldn't be investigating. We'll see what they say when that concludes.

Well, for you to suggest that:
1. There are tons of examples of race hoaxes that are true and name none
2. Accuse me of "privilege" and then not supply any reason for why

... it seems you're dancing and running. If you don't have the cards, I wouldn't make the claims. If I were you I'd at least answer the two things you brought up. Don't just run away.

I don’t care to continue with this conversation.

You are coming off as insensitive at best.

I don’t need any examples here.

Common sense you shouldn’t automatically disbelieve these type of accusations. Most cases there isn’t proof.

We can agree to disagree again. There's a pattern of black athletes claiming racism with no evidence to back it up. I notice this, and use it to make my hunches going forward. If there's evidence that is revealed, I'll cede this. If not, I'll remind you.

But you are assuming they are making it up without any evidence.

That is pretty vile.

What if you are wrong?

I believe in innocent until proven guilty. anyone can claim anything. I need evidence and proof. You seem to take the claim as truth and require people to disprove the claim. That's a dangerous system of justice. Anyone can accuse another of anything, and it takes effort to prove your innocence. Very immoral.

I do too.

But I am also not about to assume the accuser is lying.

That is just as bad if not worse as assuming guilt.

It's worse to let 10 guilty men walk free than to imprison 1 innocent man.

This isn't a court of law this is humans discussing current events. You lack empathy and tact. Let the facts come in.

As a person, having a default mode where accusers are not to be respected is a terrible look. We get it, you aren't the only one out there.

That isn’t what this is.

You are participating in victim shaming in a he said she said situation.

Of course you can’t convict the accused without evidence.

But you damn well best respect the accuser.

Because it is a lot more likely than not that something went down.

Respect? yes. But it's not required to believe without proof.

That's a dangerous statement. You'd F over many innocent men if you followed your logic. Just hope some random broad doesn't target you and get you into prison even if you're innocent. You might think differently. You might demand our justice system to require a bit mroe than a woman saying " I didn't consent"

Keep ignoring repeated admonitions that this discussion, our takes on this kind of stuff that we are discussing here, are NOT the justice system, or a court of law, and no amount of straw will support this deflection.

You are not required to ever believe or respect any accuser. That's just who you are.

Once again, from my very post on this topic.

Believing and respecting the accuser is nothing close to the same thing as the justice system convicting someone based off of he said she said with 0 evidence.

But you are literally out here saying that because there isn’t evidence, you don’t believe it happened.

And that is exactly why people get away with crimes like r*pe and with being racist holes.

Women know that if they report, there are going to be lots of people like you who shame them and say they don’t believe. And that is incredibly hard to deal with. It is like being victimized twice.

Do better.

Correct me if I wrong, but I don't even think Angel Reese accused anyone of being racist. It was brought up by someone in the social media who wasn't even at the game. When they asked the Sky coach about it, he said he learned about it when everybody else did, and it's just something that he heard about.

Accusing a male of r*pe, or some sort of racism, in the court of public opinion with no evidence should be a crime. It kills their reputation for the rest their your life just being accused.

Innocent until proven guilty. Do better yourself
