The WNBA is opening up an investigation into supposed racist things said by fans to Angel Reese after the latest game against the Fever.

Things to note:
1. There’s no evidence
2. With all the camera phones, there’s no videos. If someone was shouting racist language at Reese, you’d hear it (especially at a WNBA game)

This is the latest race hoax that the woke WNBA is perpetuating. They need fans, but are now pointing the finger at them as horrible people because Angel Reese said to. I would never believe such a bitter, angry activist like Reese is. She’ll make things up to push the BLM racial division she supports. I want proof. Let’s see it.

The game was over a week ago. Both teams have played other games since. I don't think there's been any update on developments in the investigation.

Why’d they bring it in the first place?

1. You’d think there would be viral videos of it
2. People get thrown out if games all The time for saying offensive things without some league investigation

This is woke agenda at play. There’s not enough racism to address, so they try to create it in their imagination

Yuck.

This a bad post.

Maybe stick to basketball and stay away from race relations on these boards. This makes you look pretty terrible.

I don’t know if there was anything said. Neither do you.

Obviously there shouldn’t ever be a serious consequence to the accused without proof.

But proof or not, just automatically assuming it must be made up is incredibly problematic.

Why? These are pretty much always revealed to be based on nothing.. and if someone said something just kick them out.

Sports media is extremely woke, and they perpetuate this all the time. Look at them try to attack Clark’s popularity as just because she’s white. They and the WNBA are shoulders deep in BLM division and race-baiting.

Nobody should believe it until there’s proof. And they don’t seem to be announcing investigations in any other issues…

Nobody should disbelieve it unless there is proof that the accuser made it up.

This is exactly why whatever god awful high percentage of r*pe victims never come forward.

Because people like you don’t believe them.

I think most disheveled, traumatized r*pe victims who go straight to the police get justice.

The ones that wait months/years? Why would you? The more time passes, the less anyone should be believed. There’s so many stories of men who get thrown in prison for years to decades only to later learn the woman admitted to making it up. Also, any jailing if a man based on only the woman’s word is unjust. That’s why you need to go straight to the police, when there’s marks, scratches, etc.

So, I think there needs to be evidence to make a claim, not the other way around. It’s not on me to disprove Reese’s claim. With the track record of race hoaxes in sports and society, there’s no reason to not be skeptical here

Gosh, what a potent post. Good job. If you don’t want to post a rebuttal or differing opinion, why post?

I don't think any accusation should automatically be believed or disbelieved. Let the police do their investigation and see what the evidence shows.

There are many reasons why women will sometimes wait before reporting, if they report it at all.

I agree that they should report it immediately, but I understand there are reasons why they don't. I don't consider myself knowledgeable enough to try to decide which of those reasons might be legit.

I also agree that coming back years, even decades later with an accusation shouldn't be allowed as it's extremely unlikely that any evidence still exists and witnesses' memories tend to be less reliable.

I am sure as hell not going to disbelieve them.

Because I don’t know if it is true or not.

And if I guess wrong?

I could do a lot of damage to the person I am choosing not to believe.

And make no mistake, you have zero direct knowledge of what transpired with Angel Reese.

You are flat out guessing.

I see the pattern of race hoaxes where big claims are made like this and nothing ever happens, or it's proven to be untrue:
- Duke Lacrosse Scanda 2006: A black woman lied about being raped by white players, a black politician pushed the scandal to demonize white people aren rally his base, the MSM crushed these innocent Duke players who are still harmed to this day.
- Bubba Wallace noose incidient 2020: Wallace and the woke sports media claimed a "noose" was hanging in his garage becauswe he was black, it was just a rope that had been there long before, but the media presented it as a gigantic racial problem)
- BYU Volleyball Incident 2022: Black duke player claimed to be racially heckled, no evidence present or found. Tons of video of the match, nobody caught it.

And that's not mentioning things like Kaepernick's claims of being blackballed by the league because of his race of which there's no proof of and plenty of logical reasons for why.

And then you have tons of race hoaxes on campuses, Jessie Smollet... you can't believe these people because they just appear to be wrong over and over. There's a value on the left in victimhood, and they do whatever they can to achieve it.

And for the very few that are hoaxes?

There are hundreds more that aren’t.

And only 1 or 2 you listed were actually proven hoaxes.

You flippantly say "hundreds".. but you'd have to name them, any of them. I don't think you actually know of hundreds, this is a religious statement your making, faith in that it happens all the time when it doesn't in sports.

None of the examples I gave have any merit. It's all individual claims without any evidence. It's just DEI/BLM mindset.

Name the last race scandal in sports that can be proven.

Anytime anyone uses a racial slur. Practices discrimination.

It happens every single day in America.

It is a story when it is a proven hoax or when it happens in a public situation to a prominent person.

Those are very rare.

Yes, people are assholes every day in America. I would think we are all adults and know this. Why are suddenly suprised? Nobody is condoning the act, but to make it out to be some special event that needs massive investigations is pathetic.

Proven claims are very rare. Hoaxes happen more often. Again, when is the last time a race-claimed scandal in sports was proven true?

This is the second time I've asked. If you're a good faith debator, I expect you to directly answer it.
