Funny thing is this game means a lot both ways. If the Texans go 0-3 they’re sunk.......

If the Steelers stumble, they lose the window for a good start , and don’t have the easiest stretch coming up

Offense... I think the concerns over the makeshift O-line were somewhat put to bed. Still some inconsistencies from half to half, but that's better than quarter to quarter. David DeCastro will be back in the lineup this week so hopefully we see a boost to the overall unit. Hopefully that will calm some of the concerns over going up against JJ Watt. I'm really hoping to see this offense take flight this week. Texans defense is allowing the 2nd highest rating to opposing passing offenses. Granted they faced Mahomes & Jackson back to back thus far so that might not be the best indicator, but still. This defense has been getting roasted. Ben & Co have more than enough firepower to torch the field.

Defense... Texans are somewhat lackluster & inconsistent on offense, but they still have a lot of talent. Being 0-2 makes them even more dangerous. This defense better be ready or this could turn into a dog fight. The Texans O-line is below-average and the Steelers OLBs should be looking at a great mismatch that they need to capitalize on. What makes me the most nervous about this defense is its inconsistency to stop the deep ball thus far and the Texans are near the top of the league in air yards per attempt. They love the deep ball. Pucker up gentlemen, this one could be a bumpy ride. So long as the pass rush gets to Watson with consistency that should speed up the time clock in Watson's head and break up plays before they develop. That's what I'm hoping for anyway. I still would like to see Minkah play deep more often in this game.

Like I said in my outlook last week, I fully expect the Steelers to be trailing in this game at some point. Maybe even trading blows for a half before the defense clamps down. But I feel this defense should have it figured out before long, if not right away.

I would have to look at the play again but I thought it was Haden's number. Whoever it was, no reason for that ball to be caught.

Chuks had an excellent game. JJ didn't do dick all day.


I'd like to see him replace Villy at LT next year (too much money for him, and he's been inconsistent anyway), with Banner coming back for RT.
