Good point...Tomlin said he was going to allow Duck a chance to overcome his bad game...he feels he did the same with Rudolph according to him.

I think the bigger picture is the team right now. I felt they had kind of rallied around Duck...I think it's the right move to give him another game to pull out of it.

I honestly think though it won't last a game. if they are struggling against the Jets and even down at half I fully expect Rudolph in the second half.

Yeah...I'm not certain that Duck will finish these last two games either. OL play needs to improve, playcalling need to improve...that would be the case with Rudolph as well. Neither of these guys are good enough to overcome 1st & 15, 3 or 4 times a game.

For all the flack Duck has received this week, he still never graded worse than Rudolph did for QB rating for 2-3 games. Rudolph had 2-3 games in the 30’s, whereas Duck was like a 46 for 1 game.

Fer cryin out loud it was only 1 bad game. We suffered through 4-5 of those games with Mason. Just because of the implications everyone is being overly harsh obviously Duck.

I’ll give him another chance and hope we don’t see more of the same from last week. In any case, they need better coaching from the OC position if ANYONE stands a chance of making this offense better.

So Fichtner is downplaying the abandonment of the run last week. Just goes to show how bad he is as an OC if he doesn’t understand being up 10-7 and how moronic it is to constantly throw the ball.
