Canes call up Sutter from Charlotte
Forward Brett Sutter will join the Carolina Hurricanes Saturday for their game at Tampa, team President Jim Rutherford said Friday.
Sutter, 23, had been playing for the Canes' AHL-affiliate Charlotte Checkers since his Nov. 17 acquisition from Calgary. Saturday will mark his Hurricanes debut.
In 33 games with the Checkers, Sutter has seven goals and 14 points
He is the cousin of Hurricanes alternate captain Brandon Sutter.
