Will the M's be smart and go after Morales aggressively?

I'm betting not. They'll stay with cripples Hart and Morrison.

He'll go to the Yanks, Angels, or Indians if this joke of a front office and GM do their thing.

I've probably brought up Morales more than anyone else on this board. I've tried not to mention him as much since I was pretty much beating a dead horse, but with Corey Hart hitting .216 the Mariners need someone else in the lineup who can actually drive in runs. Currently Cano is our only consistent hitter, Kendrys Morales would be a huge addition to our lineup.

Why would the M's make a move that makes sense? It isn't their M.O.

cano's numbers might look a little more similar to his numbers in NYC if he actually had a real hitter or two behind him. until then, he'd better enjoy getting almost nothing to drive.

morales makes so much sense for the m's, it's pretty much guaranteed they won't try to acquire him.

i'm just curious to see if a club like anaheim or ny will give him the 3-4 year deal that he's hoping for. i'm betting not.

That was the weakest ground ball hit that went into the outfield I have ever seen.

Ideally they would have Hart in RF and morales at DH.

But, until Hart can play RF everyday, bringing in Morales would be pointless. If Morales had better home and overall stats through 37 games last year, than the stats Hart currently has, then it would make sense. But he didn't. Through 37 games last year, Morales production was virtually the same as Hart's has been this year.

Basically bringing Morales in now, with Hart having nowhere to go but the bench, would be made with the assumption that Morales would out-produce Hart going forward, and Morales does not have a track record to justify that assumption.
