Rutgers (14-12) over Purdon't
NW (17-10) over Iowa

Suddenly 7-5 doesn't look impossible.

As we all know, the big problem is can the Nebraska coaches actually coach?

This is a golden opportunity for the coaching staff to prove they can coach.

I mean if Rutgers can beat Purdue, surely the coaching staff can watch their film. Right?

Northwestern, Iowa, and Minnesota are not even midget slayers.

So, which team in the B1G West not named Wisconsin or Illinois is the tallest Midget?

At least Sipple is positive and some constructive criticism at times.

There is NO WAY this coaching staff can win 4 of the games. The coaches will bonehead at least one of the four winnable games, because that seems to be what they do.

I will say, prior to watching how bad all five teams are Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, Northwestern, and Purdue, I did not think Nebraska had a chance in any of them other than they get lucky chance.

I do not like Chatelain. His only goal is to be antagonistic to the coach(whoever it is) to get clicks.

His rationale was that those are just 'average' teams and that Nebraska has more talent.

My thought is Nebraska is just as 'average' and had more talent than Arky St, N Illinois, etc.

The signature of this staff and the previous is that Nebraska plays down (not up) to their competition. Slow roll them and let Nebraska will beat themselves.

Nebraska 3-2 beats Purdue, Northwestern, and Minnesota finishes 6-6
Northwestern 2-3 beat Purdue and Illinois finishes 6-6
Purdue 2-3 beats Illinois and Indiana finishes 5-7

Northwestern pulls the upset over Michigan State and basically is bowl eligible. They just have to win one of the lower echelon games. Northwestern has won two games against Nebraska in Lincoln. Nebraska has beaten Northwestern all three times in Evanston, and once in Lincoln. Nebraska leads series 4-2.

Iowa is getting ready to take on a possible emotional drained Ohio State, they still lose. They also lose to Wisconsin. I will enjoy the next two weeks for Iowa.

Minnesota is in trouble and a lot of it.

Purdue still has a chance, but I don't think so.

Nebraska took a step in the right direction, as long as you don't want to run the ball and think the Oline can keep Tanner Lee upright long enough before he throws an interception.

So here's my question....

Will the Husker's first win in a month (since Sept 29th) translate into being a game prep motivator this week, or will the players spend all week with their heads in the clouds and cause a classic celebratory letdown at home against Northwestern?

Is it 'parties and babes', or film-room, weightroom, and practice hard?

Northwestern is playing at much higher level than Nebraska is right now.

I don't think there will be a let down.....I just think they're going to play at a higher level than we will.

Northwestern is 1-2 on the road.

Northwestern played better than Nebraska against the upper echelon teams. Wisconsin and Penn State.

Northwestern against the three lower echelon B1G Teams

Dominated maryland

Beat an Iowa team by stuffing their run game, and Nathan Stanley is not a very good QB. Tanner Lee is a better QB than Stanley, Stanley makes fewer mistakes though.

The Michigan State game, Michigan State made the turnovers. Northwestern only made one. Northwestern is winning by making fewer mistakes. Nebraska can definitely turn the ball over. Michigan State passed all over Northwestern, which gives me some hope that Morgan, Spielman, Pierson-El can do some shifty things on their dbacks.

Northwestern's running game is like Nebraska's, a bad O line. Northwestern does have a proven back in Justin Jackson. Edge Northwestern because Nebraska does not have a back that has proven himself.

I like that Northwestern has not been letting Thorson run like they did in 2015. That means the backup QB is not very good. Edge Nebraska.

Northwestern has a stud at LB, Paddy Fisher. Edge Northwestern.

Both pass defenses are bad.

Field Goal kicking, Northwestern has what seems to be a good freshman kicker. He is 8 for 9. Drew is 10 for 12. Hmmm, tie I guess. Home field give it to Drew Brown.

I favor Northwestern in this game, but Nebraska has a chance to win it. Mistake free football can win this game.

If one team's O line takes over, then that team wins.

If I was Diaco, I would attack Northwestern every play. The fastest linebacked spies on Thorson, Gifford? Maybe Weber who can make good reads. Not Young.
