I feel pretty confident going up against GB at home, there run game is prety bad and Rodgers cant scramble at all like RG3 or Wilson. I think we would be favored in that one.

Their receivers scare me. They go 4 deep there with some dangerous guys.

So I know it's wrong to root for injuries but...

Well, let's hope they're REALLY tired next week.

They're probably the strongest potential NFC opponent the Niners will face. But I like the Niners' chances at home.

The good news is that the Niners have done great against passing teams like the Pats & Packers but not so well against running teams like the Vikings, Rams & Seahawks. GB, New England, Denver & Atlanta all rely heavily on the pass but aren't great at running the ball.

Watching Webb makes me want to give Smith an extra couple mil to remain our back-up

Never really thought of this good point

This is a serious question. When's the last time you've seen a QB as bad as Joe Webb?

Ken Dorsey? Cody Pickett? Those guys had absolutely NO talent whatsoever. Webb has a great OL and the best RB in the NFL. Not to mention a good TE & ok WRs.

Andrew Walter maybe? Jimmy Clausen? Even Clausen wasn't this bad.

Chris Simms? JT O'Sullivan?

I guess so, but I can't remember the last time I saw a QB play this poorly.

How can the 3rd stringer be worse than this guy? His name is worse; that's for sure. It's friggn' McLeod Bethel-Thompson. Wow! Worst QB name ever.

I remember getting in small arguments with people who tried to say in the same breath that JTO was the real deal and that it was pathetic that Alex lost a competition with him. It was anybody but Alex was great and Alex was terrible. Granted Smith wasn't the real deal, but the trolling on Niners.com was so bad that people wanted JTO. We went with JTO because Martz liked him and Nolan didn't like how Alex finally spoke out about his torn shoulder. JTO got all the first team reps, none for Hill or Smith. Smith had the second team and Hill was left fof the practice squad like practice. This is what you do when you've chosen your guy (JTO was familiar with the system), not in "open competition." I'm ok with choosing your guy based on experience in the system and then giving first team reps to him, but it wasn't open for Hill or Smith. Then, Alex went in to have his surgery after JTO won his one man competition.

I now only go to Niners.com for the videos and articles some people post and sometimes the look-alike threads.

Webb should just run the ball every time that he doesn't give it to Peterson.
