GREAT GAME!! But still too many neutral zone turnovers. Still nothing from the bottom two lines other than a couple of good shifts (Stoll's goal was essentially a 2nd line goal since he had just jumped on with Brown and Penner). Penner is still spending too much time on the perimeter and not enough in front of the net where is tonnage his useful.
But Quick is sharp, the top line is clicking big time, and Gagne is a revelation. baby steps.
I know the Kings have a decent team, but St. Louis really didn't show up last night.
I watched this game pretty intently, even behind the play and it was tame, barely any hits - maybe the players are afraid of being suspended. Case and point was the second goal - Brown floated back and forth in the office and not a Blue went near him - pretty easy pickings to find Stoll on the door step.
The Kings first line is really clicking right now - the Blues didn't show me much of anything.
