Does Bruce Bochy keep putting 85-year-old Miguel Tejada in the 2-hole? The guy has a batting average of .191 over the past two weeks and an OBP of .213 during that same span. Dude has walked SEVEN time all season long. Brandon Crawford, who has all of 47 plate appearances this season, already has six.

I realize the team is full of injured players and he's cobbling together a lineup that should not be starting on a major league team, but for the love of Bonds, put Crawford in the 2-hole. At least he can run a bit. He has patience at the plate. He will see more than the lousy 3.3 pitcher per at-bat that Miguel Tejada is averaging.

I agree, but for arguments sake...

MiggE-5 is a DP threat. He also does not strike out. Might as well put him (as a contact hitter) into the #2 hole with a fast runner at first (to avoid the DP). Anywhere else in the lineup and he become '10 Panda.

If he HAS to be in the lineup (I am not arguing THAT point), #2 is not a horrible spot for him.

Sorry, Cal, I'm with Cam on this one.

On nights like tonight with a decent hitting pitcher (Song), if Miggy MUST play, why not bat him 9th, and the pitcher 8th?

Unless Miggy starts to bunt and sacrifice Torres to the next bag. Yeah, right.

I was taking the position for arguments sake.

I dont want the guy anywhere in the lineup, let alone 2nd. I was just offering a single argument in favor of it...

After his bunt hit the other night, I think that he should try doing that a bit more.

Tejada anywhere in the lineup is a liability. It's funny that we were so desperate to sign him because there were few available shortstops, and now he doesn't even play shortstop anymore.

For awhile I thought he'd bounce back some, (keep in mind for a few weeks he was sporting an unrealistic sub .200 BABIP.) I'm not as optimistic anymore, he currently has an 11.7% line drive rate, which is down from 19.2% last season. The only other number that shows something is different from last year is a .064 iso!!! That's Juan fucking Pierre with one leg. He still has been getting unlucky, he's hit a few line drives right at guys, but I don't know that there's much more we can expect from him. Each day makes it more and more obvious that he's just done.
