I am hungover, and I didn't drink last night.
my Canucks are in the middle of a 6 day vacation
BC Lions are shitting their season away.
and I still can't explain the hangover.

hopefully I can weasel out of going to my kid's dance class.
oh, and the family dog just died.

I'm doing homework and laundry all day, conducting a pre-dance party risk management meeting, going to a haunted house to scare the crap out of people, then going back to the dance party to further manage risk. Then I'll go to bed early because I'm running a 3.5 mile race tomorrow morning at 10.

=)

Halloween in a college town after a Pens game. I'm satisfied with the night I've got coming.

what the holy hell? I hate to seem like a fogey, but back in my day, that was:
- lock away any valuables / breakables / the good booze
- ensure you have some rubbers
- conveniently located barf-buckets

the biggest risk was running out of beer.

Since the party's registered with the school so that we could advertise it, we have to follow certain protocols. Since I'm the director of risk management, I have to enforce those protocols by having a meeting to relay them. The school becomes very displeased with us if we don't have this meeting. Essentially, I just have to tell everyone not to let people in through the side doors, no one who is clearly intoxicated should be admitted, no one with a weapon should be admitted, explain all the security positions, and tell them to be personally responsible.

This is why I hate dance parties.

shitty outcome of both games. (did I mention I was a State fan? lol. William and Mary allllllmost pulled off a truly embarrassing upset of the Tar Heels)

but stilll...

1. Great seats to take my son to his first live football game, in Chapel Hill
cost - $400.00 face value - at no cost thanks to brother in law alumni connections

.... motor on down hwy 40 into Raleigh

2. Canes v Pens with friends - even though my team has yet to score at home
cost -- quite affordable with season tix package

3. on the way out watched a drunk off her ass Pens fan as she literally tumbled down the escalator in what seemed like slow motion, head over heels, alternating views of hair then ass crack then hair then ass crack. Abso-fucking-lutely hilarious.
cost - PRICELESS

verdict? GOOD DAY! :-)
