Do any of you remember week 2 last year? Well, likely not. No teams in the top 25 playing one another, and marquee match ups were Arkansas at (15) TCU & Va Tech at (17) UT.

This year, in week two, we have 3 amazing games to look forward to -

(12) Auburn at (5) Clemson
(7) Oklahoma at (2) Ohio State
(14) Stanford at (4) USC

Plus we have...

(15) UGA at Notre Dame
Boise State at (24) Washington State
Pitt at (6) Penn State

So, we have great games in Week 1, and unlike last year, we have some incredible games in week 2.

All I can say is Oklahoma better damn well not start off 1-2 this year like we did in 2016.

That would require you losing to UTEP or Tulane, neither of which are a Houston caliber team.

Better yet, we lose to both UTEP and Tulane but beat Ohio State on the road. Then we sail through the Big 12 and wonder what the hell happened when we don't get invited to the playoff again. :tsk:

Week 2 is better this year, but week 1 is definitely worse than last year, so it all evens out.

It will only be 2-1 so you're good. :thumb:

You are probably right. I'll be in Columbus to see OU give it our best shot. I've seen us win in Columbus before so it's not impossible. The problem with this OU team is no one has any foggy idea what the new (improved) talent will accomplish, whether or not our DC will just sit there as usual looking like a bull dog licking piss off a cactus while we can't get a stop when we need it and if Baker Mayfield can stay healthy. We are a heaving crap shoot coming into this season.

Oh yes, watch out for Rutgers.

The SDSU at ASU game could actually be a decent one. But 2 people on here care, and one of them is me.

Ohio State will be favored but it's going to be competitive. The two teams biggest strengths are opposite each other (offensive and defensive lines). We still have unproven receivers and are hoping to strike lightning in a bottle for a 2nd year in a row with pretty much a brand new secondary.

If either team doesn't play well they will get the shit beat out of them. You have the talent edge and we're playing for revenge. If one team gets up by a lot I don't see either one of them making a comeback. So, it's important for both teams to play well from the kickoff. Good luck!

Ohio State will definitely be up for the Oklahoma game. That's the magic of Urban.
