As an Arizona homer, even I can admit we aren't winning out. If we are 100% percent come March though, I would love to be a 3 or 4.

I don't think its out of the question. Toughest games would be @ Colorado and Utah. I don't see Arizona losing at home even with games against USC, UCLA, and Oregon. I'd say odds are they lose 1 maybe two games in the regular season.

I tell you what, if UA beats UO, there might be a chance. I'm thinking UO is the team that has the best chance to beat UA at home. The conference season is still only half over though.

I would agree in that they have the best chance but Oregon isn't a great road team either (losses to Oregon State, Colorado and Boise State) those aren't terrible losses by any means but Arizona is clearly better than those three teams IMO.

And Arizona has arguably the best home court advantage in all of college basketball.

I forgot. This is not a PAC thread, so I will pick IOWA as one of the #1's. A month from now Oklahoma may not be there.

Oklahoma and UNC as the top two #1 seeds based on purely eye test.

After that, I defer to the metrics. Very tough year to pick em. This might be the year a #16 finally has joy.

It's really going to be dependent upon the favorites winning their respective conference tournaments.

We need teams like Stony Brook, North Florida, UC-Irvine/Hawaii, Monmouth, Belmont, Navy, Chattanooga, Texas A&M-CC, Grand Canyon and UT-Arlington/Arkansas Little Rock to win their conference tournaments so the field isn't diluted.[/QUOTE]

I have UNC as a 1 seed but I'm clearly not as sold on them as you guys are. For me it's defense. They are just OK, it's puts so much pressure on their offense. Oklahoma, Iowa and Nova are the only 3 teams in the country in the top 15 of adjusted offense and defense. UNC is like 60th in D.

I think the one team no one is gonna want to draw is Xavier.

They just don't really do anything bad. They are solid at least at everything. Some teams are overall better but X is better equipped to over come decent games I feel.

Also, if it's a free throw shooting game you should probably start the buses quick.

Xavier is,lwfit. FF caliber for sure. I worry about them if they play a real long team though but not too many teams fit that bill

Yeah I think if teams like UNC, Oklahoma, Iowa and Nova are firing on all cylinders with their offenses they will win those games.

But if your even slightly off I think X has the make up to beat anyone. Balanced, a handful of solid shooters, they get to the line a ton and dont foul(that whole make more than opponent attempts thing) and all their key players shoot them well.

And I love guys like Farr and Reynolds. They are 6'10 at best(I really doubt it) but built like football players so they just bruise you.

I just look at X as a team where if the game is gonna get more backyard brawlish...they will almost every time.

I can tell you I'd rather play anyone else on that 2 or 3 line. The other teams are more one dimensiona. Iowa will beat that team 8 out of 10. Xavier is more well rounded than Iowa St, Oregon, WVU, UVA, TAMU and even Kansas

Xavier, Miami and Maryland are the 3 teams I think are well rounded enough to make a deep run in March when they don't play their best game.

My team that is a huge dark horse is SMU. They look very scary.

Maryland is nowhere close to a 1 seed right now. They have 1 top 50 win. They're probably not even a 2 right now
