Cris Collinsworth probably

I don't remember him being overrated, but I was a little young to understand "hype." He was a 2nd round draft pick and the 2nd receiver the Bengals selected that year (David Verser being our top pick). He had the luxury of playing on a veteran offense with a good qb, good tight end and an aging but good first receiver in Curtis. He had a few good years and then got hurt and wasn't all that great his last three or four years. I think he's much more well-known for his broadcasting career.

Peter Warrick was over-rated even after he failed to live up to his billing.

BTW.... You could probably make an argument for Chad Johnson if you consider the fact that PFT put him as one of the best 4 bengals to ever play. Chad's numbers speak volumes, but he was never a big game player.

he was a superb athlete up to a point, he made some amazing catches that really should have been incomplete passes. It's a shame he got a little older and started to slow down (and get distracted)

Well, since Collinsowrth is sort of in the lime light all the time, he is a big name for the Bengals, kinda like Esiason in my opinion. However, his numbers while good, were not great. When you think Bengals, you think Munoz, Esiason, Jim Anderson, Willie Anderson, Curtis, Collinsworth, Krumrie, Fulcher, Dillon, Woods, Brooks, Chad Johnson. I just think of all those players, that Collinsorth has the biggest name and the smaller stats. Only reason I didn't go with Woods was because he was great in his time here, but his career was cut very very short due to injury.

Carson is overrated by people who still think its 2005 and block out the gruesome injury he suffered and never really recovered from fully.

from a FF perspective, it would be cool to see him excel with the wr's in arizona

That was a pretty shitty overrated list.....

Collinsworth -- Crash mentioned him as well and I think it makes some sense. Though I don't ever hear anyone talk about him as a player. I think he only gets mentioned because he is a somewhat polarizing figure as an announcer.

Chris Perry -- Really? How is a draft bust an overrated player? He was pretty much hated since he arrived on the team. Doesn't really fit the definition.

Woods -- Fair, given that he didn't do anything after his rookie season.... But you could also argue that his knee getting shredded was the reason why. He did average over 5 YPC in his one healthy season.

Housh -- Not seeing it. He was always a second receiver. Nobody thought of him as a first receiver or the equivalent to Chad. He was a clutch player and made big receptions.

Graham -- I don't know of a single Bengal fan that rated him above a mild hangover.

they said munoz was underrated, he is regarded as one of the greatest offensive tackles ever and the best OT the Bengals ever had, what more do they want for him?

The most underrated Bengal of all time is easily Ken Riley -- It's not really up for discussion and it's embarrassing that a league operated website would miss this..... This is worse than Bleacher Report.

BTW -- Pete Johnson wasn't underrated. He averaged over 4 YPC only twice in his career and his fat ass couldn't punch the ball over the goal line when we needed it in the super bowl. Fuck him.

Rudy Johnson. Any running back you put behind that line would've produced. Actually BJGE reminds me a lot of Rudy.

Tie:

Big Daddy and Akili Smith (just based on what was passed up to take him)

I tend not to include guys that had major injuries (Ki-Jana).

Under-rated? Kenny Riley. Gotta agree there.
