To the best of my knowledge, Pegula isn't the GM is he? Plus what is he going to do, hold a gun to the head of opposing team management and force them to trade him the players he wants?

I'm ready for the season to start now but I think Mr Pegula has a few more moves up his sleeve.

He has some selling to do as well.

only $1.3m left, with 4 roster spots to fill.

Buffalo now is just over 1.3-million from the cap. It still needs to sign Mike Weber, Marc Gragnani, Andrej Sekera and Jhonas Enroth. I do know Shaone Morrisonn wants out and wants to be waived. I think he and Ales Kotalik will wind up in Rochester giving Buffalo just over $5-million back.

In all seriousness though, yes I am ready for the season to start. The reason I am looking forward to it is mainly for the return of the Winnipeg Jets to the NHL. That first game is going to easily be on of the most epic moments in hockey and trump anything that has happened in the NHL from at least the last 20 years.

Summer is scary. I know one of these days I will crash into a fire hydrant while trying to drive and look at women in short skirts.

Seriously, I hate the fucking summer. I guess drinking outside is nice, but hockey needs to be back stat.

Let's start anticipating next season before the teams are even final yet. Give me your 16 playoff teams.

In no particular order in the East, I have: Boston, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New Jersey, NYR, Washington, Tampa Bay

With the West, I honestly see the same eight teams making it as this year, though I'll give the wildcard vote to Columbus with the acquisition of Carter. Still think they'll be on the fringe though.

EAST: Montreal in, NYR out vs. your picks
WEST: Calgary, Colorado in, Anahaim, Phoenix out vs. last year

I can wait

Sabres just signed Mike Weber to a 2 year deal worth $950K a year.

That means they still have 3 more roster spots to fill, and should have just over $5M to work with after they send down Morrisonn & Kotalik.

I'm just happy that my baseball team is worthy this year...helping time pass.
