Obviously, if Clemson, Auburn, Oklahoma & Wisconsin all win this weekend then they are in the playoffs.

Who's out:

#10 Southern Cal & #12 Stanford*, along with #13 Washington, & #18 Washington St.
#14 Central Florida & #20 Memphis* (but the winner probably gets a New Years Six game)
#15 Notre Dame
#16 Michigan St., along with #21 Northwestern
#17 LSU, along with #23 Mississippi St.
#19 Oklahoma St.
#22 Virginia Tech, along with #24 North Carolina St.
#25 Fresno St. & unranked Boise St.*

Who's probably out:

#9 Penn St. (I don't see anyone they could leap-frog)
#11 TCU (a win by the Horned Frogs against Oklahoma would probably eliminate both teams)

Who still has a shot:

#8 Ohio St. might get in with a dominating win over Wisconsin, but a loss would eliminated the Buckeyes. A close win over the Badgers coupled with a loss by Oklahoma would probably still result in OSU being eliminated.

#7 Miami would probably get in with a win over Clemson.

#6 Georgia gets in with a win over Auburn.

#5 Alabama has a shot if Oklahoma and/or Wisconsin gets upset.

Other teams that could still possibly make it:

#4 Wisconsin, with a close loss to Ohio St.
#3 Oklahoma, with a close loss to TCU
#1 Clemson, with a close loss to Miami & a loss by one of the other top 3 teams.

Auburn cannot get in with another loss.

Here's an easy to read breakdown of the eight teams that still have a chance.

Lock: Auburn and Georgia (winner gets in)
Lock: Clemson and Miami (winner gets in)
Lock: Oklahoma - in with a win
Lock: Wisconsin - in with a win

Bubble teams (if Oklahoma and/or Wisconsin lose):
Alabama and Ohio State

Have you laid in a good supply of whiskey for Saturday? Watching your drunken party or drunken wake will be fun while I watch the important game.

I just don't see how Ohio State gets in the playoffs, without a PERFECT storm....even then, it may take a little home cookin' to make it happen IMO. Like was alluded to by someone earlier, here are the order of playoff team scenarios in my mind:

1) Winner of Clemson vs Miami
2) Winner of UGA vs Auburn
3) Wisconsin: if they win the B10
4) Oklahoma: if they win the B12
5) Bama
tie 6) Oklahoma if they lose a close game to TCU
tie 6) Ohio State: If they easily win the B10, OK gets beat like a drum in the B12 championship game
tie 6) TCU, if Wisconsin loses badly, and they put the smack down on OK

I can't imagine the selection committee looking at both OK's schedule and OSU's schedule and deeming the Buckeyes better...especially when OK beat the Bucks by 15 points in Columbus. On top of that, Ohio State lost by 31 points to a 7-5 Hawkeye team less than a month ago. OK did lose to a 7-5 Iowa St team, but it wasn't nearly the smack down that OSU received, and it happened nearly 2 months ago.

Where it becomes mucky, is if TCU beats OK, and Ohio State beats Wisconsin. Now you have 3 teams with 2 losses, all having legitimate claims (OK killed OSU, OK and TCU went 1-1 against each other, and both OK and TCU lost to Iowa state by a TD).

Should be fun to argue what they do this time next week. Gotta love college football...I just wish Michigan could at least be in these arguments. Maybe next year (although I'm not betting on it).

No I’m screwed. Sister in law is having a couples enagement party Saturday night (may the person who invented couples engagement parties burn eternally) so I can’t get my whiskey A game on. If we lose I’ll never forgive her.

Winner of ACCCG is a lock.
Winner of SECCG is a lock.
If Oklahoma wins they are a lock.
If Wisconsin wins they are a lock.
Bama is a lock with a TCU win. Probably a 60% chance with a close Ohio State win.

Ohio State gets in if they Blowout Wisconsin.

You were saying....?
I said we do it on the field not by sweet talking our way in. You should be ashamed of you playing in the playoff when you can’t even win your conference, division or state.

Shameful I say!!!

Are you sure you're not an Ohio St. fan? And for the record, Alabama tied for the SEC West crown. They just lost the tie-breaker by losing head-to-head to Cow Patty U. That extra week of rest might come in handy.
