Who Will We Face In The Wildcard Round? That'll Principally Depend On The Winner Of SEA vs. AZ

There seems to be a lot of confusion about who we play after we beat down the Cowboys. It actually is pretty simple: it'll depend on who wins the Seattle - Arizona and Minnesota - Green Bay games.

If Seattle wins . . .

And GB loses, we play GB

And MIN loses, we play SEA

If Seattle loses . . .

We play the loser of the GB - MIN game

The way I see this playing out is that Seattle loses to Arizona and that Minnesota loses to Green Bay. Under that scenario, we play Minnesota. That also means that Seattle will play at Green Bay.

I think we can beat Minnesota and Seattle will probably beat Green Bay.

If so, we travel to play Arizona and Seattle goes on the road to face Carolina. (This assumes that Carolina is the #1 seed, which I think they will be.)

Does anyone think we've got a shot at beating Arizona and then have a puncher's chance in the NFC championship game?

I think Arizona is the best team in the NFC. While the Skins didn't show well vs Carolina, I'd like their chances vs them more. That offense doesn't scare me and they have shown some vulnerabilities on defense recently.

I honestly don't see us beating Arizona, Carolina or Seattle regardless of where it's played. There is no question in my mind that our best chance is Green Bay first, Minnesota next, then Seattle. The only way we get the Hawks is 2 upsets happening on Sunday, I like our chances of drawing the Pack.

Here's the best news I can think of: No more Ribeye after Sunday. Lich is back for the playoffs.

Another thing I am extremely excited about is the coaches have finally decided to do what most of us have been screaming for since October. Enough with the 5 yard passes, throw the ball upfield. Now that does not mean take a shot deep to Ross, it means the mid-level 10-20 yard patterns they only went to in a desperate situation down so big to Tampa. Well it worked then and it is working now so what took so long? Suddenly 2nd and 14 does not seem so insurmountable. A month ago they ran a draw and a 5 yard dump off before punting. Now they are calling plays and executing them with confidence designed to actually get a first down instead of minimizing the damage. That's how a real team operates. About damn time.

I Agree they are trusting KC a lot more and taking shots down field. In the playoffs I would want to play Seattle b/c they have the least offensive weapons out of the three. Minn has Peterson and the best defense and GB has Rodgers but there defense stinks. I would rather play CAr then Ari. I know Ari lost honey Badger but look at what they did to GB last week. They are the best team in football right now.

I agree Arizona is the best team right now, I'll be rooting for them all the way through. But no way do I want to see Russell Wilson in the playoffs.

The chances of us not facing Seattle keep growing. Their OT Russell Okung and RG John Sweezy aren't playing this Sunday. It's looking more like we be facing either GB or MIN.

Kinda kickin that Arizona is the best team in football belief all up in its ass right now.

Of the teams the Skins could face. Seattle is the team I'd least like to see, but most want to beat. And no disrespect, but forget Lynch. Whether he plays or not is irrelevant to me. Russell Wilson is the player that kicks the Skins in their ass.
