Who had the best and worst season when taking the preseason top 25 into account

The above is the AP, the coaches poll was very similar, but #25 was Northwestern instead of Nebraska being ranked. Taking all of this into consideration, UCF should be ashamed of themselves for that showing in their conference, so should Syracuse, Northwestern, MSU and WSU. Sometimes bad luck and such happens, but what happened to those teams?

Texas, Texas A&M, Washington, UCF, Michigan State, Iowa State, Syracuse, Washington State, Nebraska and Stanford are all not ranked as of right now.

Syracuse, Stanford and Nebraska aren't bowling this year so it's gotta be one of them. Just because Syracuse was the highest ranked in the preseason top 25, I'll say Syracuse is the worst.

The best has to be Baylor. From unranked in the preseason top 25 to, if they win and Georgia and Utah loses, in the College Football Playoff. Even so, still a top 10 team in the country at season's end.

Nowhere near the worst. Washington was suppose to be the Pac-12 champs. Some even had Texas being a Playoff team this year. At least we are still bowling this year.

I wouldn't call Nebraska the worst

This is why teams that lose 6 or more games the previous season should be forced to prove themselves first. Nebraska actually improved over last year, group thinking got their expectations too high

The best & worst is predicated on their pre-season AP rankings, not their improvement - or lack of - from the previous season.
