Who are all of our FA's this upcoming offseason? Just curious who we have to lock up long term to keep them from going bye bye. Plus, trying to figure out if all our money (up to 99% cap spending) is going to be on our own guys, or if we will have any money for a key acquisition.

Thanks to anyone that assists me with my question here.

I'd be willing to bet Brown would rather overpay one of his own guys than spend that extra cash looking at players in a higher tier.

The ones I know of that will be UFA are:

Andre Smith
Michael Johnson
Rey
Geathers
Clements
Nugent

Geno and Dunlap are 2014 I believe

They better resign Andre. In the majority of games I think he's been the best offensive lineman on either team. He's a beast.

I suspect that both Andre Smith and Michael Johnson would do very well on the market. Smith is proving to be a great right tackle and Johnson has had a good year rushing the passer. There will always be a market for those two positions.

Keep in mind, we generally do better with our own players when we lock them up a year early. I think it's way too late now to get a late season deal with either of them as their agents will probably want to cash in. Wouldn't be surprised to see them both gone next year.

Clements might be finished with football. Geathers is a nice rotation player if he comes in at the right price. Rey is awful - And our captain. Go figure.

They'll sign a few of them and let the best one go (example: Jonathan Joseph)

I fully expect Smith to be resigned. I'm sure he'll be worth every penny, but he's one of those guys Mike will love to throw money at so he doesn't have to find more expensive players elsewhere.

I fully expect us to resign Bernard Scott, Brandon Tate, and Rey Maualuga, simply because no other team wants them. The rest are up for grabs.

you probably don't want to let Clark Harris go though.

Isn't next year when the mandate kicks in that you have to spend to 90% of the cap? That being the case I think we resign a lot of those guys.

Unfortunately, I think they bring Rey back too. People keep saying he's been playing better...which I guess is technically true. But he is still a terrible player at one of the most important positions on D. I guess as long as they keep Andre and MJ they'll come out ahead. I wouldn't be suprised to see them starting working out an extension with Geno, either.

I'm hoping they throw huge money at Geno this offseason. I actually wouldn't be surprised to see them also work on Gresham and Dunlap.

The way Hobspin describes it, we're already in salary cap hell.

according to this info I found just now, we look to have the 4th most salary cap space, so that bodes well for us to give Bernard Scott and Brandon Tate a huge bonus:

from July:
Available salary-cap space for all 32 NFL teams - NFL.com
With three teams in the top 10, the AFC South has nearly $64 million in available cap space. Teams in the NFC West have a league-low $19,019,732 in available cap space. Here's how it all breaks down:

Of course he has. We haven't had any real competition in a month.

The past month:

The Giants are a top 10 offense by any measure.
The Chiefs are actually one of the best rushing teams in the league.
An offense with Carson Palmer has to be formidable, right?
The Chargers still have some talent on the offensive side of the ball with Rivers, Gates and Mathews...but Rivers definitely isnt what he used to be.

1) The Giants weren't held to 13 points because of Maualuga. It was a game the entire team just didn't show up. Was it 4 or 5 TO's? Credit to our defense, but Maualuga? Feel free to hang onto this one, but you're 1/4 even with it.

2) The players that can make up for no o-line, no run game, and no receivers are few and far between. Even Carson isn't one of those players.

3) Matthews sucks. Gates is old. Their offense is in the bottom half of the league easily.

But let me just get this straight, you're advocating that Maualuga is a better player than he was earlier in the year and that's indicative of his play against teams over the last month that you believe to have good offenses? Or are you just arguing for the sake of arguing?
