NFC. After Manning and Brady retire, what is the AFC? Brees and Rodgers will be here for awhile (Brees shorter) and beyond them and around them are better.

I think the NFC is better from top-to-bottom. Almost all of the worst NFL teams are AFC teams. So, I feel from top-to-bottom, NFC is better.

NFC is by far the better conference right now. Outside of the colts, patriots, and broncos the talent level drops in the AFC. With the NFC you have the seahawks, 49ers, saints, and packers who are all capable of going against the top of the AFC and holding their own. (Or in Seattle's case, punish them when it counts). You then have teams on the next tier down that stack up favorably against the AFC second tier teams. And it is here where one sees the differences. Last year, 3 8-8 teams were vying for a playoff berth in the AFC at week 17. In the NFC, you would have been out of the race 2 weeks earlier with the Panthers and 49ers being so good.

I guess it's the NFC, but that is simply because of 2 divisions....the NFC West and the AFC South.

Right now the AFC. Between Denver and the Putriots they are ahead. The Seahags took a step back.

Last season it was clearly the NFC. they had a record 4 games better than the AFC. And the NFC had the Super Bowl winner.

Both the 49er's and Seahawks are better than any team in the AFC.

Thus NFC>>AFC

The demise of Pittsburg and the Raven's D's has left a demise in the AFC talent
vs the NFC.

Heck, 49ers, Seahawks and Cardinals would've beaten the Bronco's in the SB.
Maybe even Carolina. New England is just Tom Brady and nothing else.

Denver will be improved in 2014 but it's still the NFC. Indy, Cincy, KC need to step
up to even make this a conversation.

NFC is currently, but its much closer top to bottom than maybe some people want to admit.

This a fluid league...just think back a few years ago and the NFCW was the worst DIV in the NFL, now they're probably the strongest.

NFCE was always strong and the last couple of years they've looked subpar really. Not for long is very true...we sure now that in PIT.

Last year and this upcoming season easily NFC. In 2-4 years it will sway back other way. Same with divisions going back and forth.

I agree that the NFC is superior because of the D and all around better teams. The above statement makes no sense, the Colts actually beat both the Seahawks and 49's and they are a marginal team that also beat Denver. And the year before SF lost to the Ravens who got hot at the right time. Any given SB or Sunday

I'm talking when these teams get in the playoffs. Cincy, Indy, Chiefs and even the Pats looked lousy. Brady couldn't hit an open receiver vs Denver. Denver wasn't even that impressive vs San Diego. I loaded up on the Seahawks in the Superbowl, loaded up.

Why? The AFC are a bunch of finesse squads. The NFC will knock the snot out of you. 49ers, Seahawks, Cardinals, Panthers, the Saints are getting there and now the Rams.

Indy beat the Seahawks and 49ers early in the year. The game vs Seattle was a fraud but they took it to the 49er's but then Indy got smoked, demoralized, the heart was ripped out by both the Rams and Cardinals.

I watch too much NFL and when the playoffs rolled around, watching each game, the NFC was far and away better and more enjoyable to watch. Do you have an opinion of the quality of playoff football you watched last year of NFC & AFC.

NFC>>>>AFC

The NFL is better at the moment but it's not as great as some seem to think. NFC was 34 - 30 vs the AFC in 2013.
