1/2 point PPR

D.Swift Det. (vs Bal)
T.Williams Bal (vs Det)
this is a morning game & they play each other which means I need to make my decision before all games on sunday.
Now I was all ready just to roll with this until I started reading Mitchell is doubtful to make the game this weekend for the Niners & Hasty is already out.

so now enters into thought T.Sermon SF (vs GB) night game.

Rumblings is he may end up the workhorse if Mitchell sits

With Trenton Cannon and Jacques Patrick as the only active running backs behind him, Sermon has workhorse upside if Mitchell sits.

So if I find out before the morning games. Mitchell is out.

Which two RBs would you be wanting to start? Taking into consideration situations & defense playing against?
I can literally make an argument for starting each one & I can make an argument for sitting each one.

So what says you fine people?

I don't want to start Swift vs Baltimore unless I have to, so there's my answer

Nor do i but at least u know that sermon wont hve 5 rushes for 50 yards and a td halfway through the first and the wind blow left and shanny gives trenton cannon 12 carries, patrick 15, and sermon 2 the rest of the game. And i fully agree with you.

With those options, I'll take those 11 points and call it a win :)

This is a toughy.
One could make the argument that even Williams (BAL) could see less work (saved) if the Ravens are up big vs DET.

Sermon's sample size is small. I would just roll with Swift & Williams.

I'd roll with Swift and Williams here vs the mystery of the SF backfield too

I'd also likely roll with Swift and Williams because Sermon situation is so questionable.

well the good news is.
Seems like everyone is like me & could go in any direction.
Bad news didnt have a clear answer.

what I am thinking is
If I dont know for sure on mitchell. I am leaving it as is. Sermon on bench, but if Mitchell is out & Sermon is the main (almost only) guy. I will start him. In which case my question is. Which do I bench?

Swift against a good run defense. I predict he doesnt get many rushing yards but Goff will dump off to the two RBs plenty. Problem is I said two RBs splitting receptions.

Williams to me quite the opposite. Playing against a weak run defense, but there will be 2 (maybe 3) RBs rushing the ball. I also dont see RBs getting many catches since Jackson normally takes off running instead of dumping off the ball.

So if I make the change. Which do you suggest I bench?

Since you put it that way, i would bench Swift.

Dont forget Jackson had a minor hip injury diving into the endzone. Maybe he was spoken to about protecting himself as their starting QB?

And yes, Williams and Murray have just about split the rushing attempts, but Williams is way more productive. Also, Murray has zero receptions and zero targets.

Well my answer certainly hasn't changed, I'm benching Swift.

Ravens are always stout defensively, and you're really just banking on a handful of receptions with an outside shot of him finding the end zone, because Detriot just won't be able to run..whether it's because they can't, or because they're playing from behind..again.

Sounds like Sermon is active, Mitchel is out, Kerryon being activated is somewhat concerning though..but limited touches for RB in a Shanny system has more potential than limited touches in Detroit.

And repeat that statement for a RB in Baltimore.

If Swift was %100, and Detroit wasn't such a shitshow, it'd be a different story

Well it is done.
Went with Williams & Sermon, so my luck they will activate Mitchell tonight.

FIgured if I leave points on the board hopefully it is because they all are close in points. Figure if I left Sermon on the bench & left points on the board it could have been by more points.
Now we will see how stupid I was :ohwell:

Actually not trusting Swift and that Lions offense is understandable. Sermon is scary also so tough choice.
