From what the article said shanny was involved with the defense, so Haslett had to run the defense the way Shanahan wanted..from what the article says Jay Gruden is going to stay out of a Jim Haslett's way and let him run the defense while Jay a Gruden worries about the offense.

Not so sure about that. Remember - there were many seasons in Denver where the defense held them back since they did not appear to be assembled very well - that could have been a very similar situation for Shanahan.

OK - my bad. I certainly wanted them to fire Haslett. However - willing to give him the benefit of the doubt in this case & hope that an influx of talent as well as the absence of Shanahan will be the difference.

well i am not hoping for his failure because it hurts us if he does . lets hope he can pull it together
