First and foremost. No way refs could rig a game. And they certainly could. Easily. But here's the problem. If the fix was in, someone would crack. Of the hundreds of refs it only takes 1 to talk about it and it's over.

No way they could cover it up. In time it would make it to the surface.

The game got huge ratings but don't you think a Denver/San Fran SB would have drawn even more? I mean, San Fran has a way bigger following. Nitpicking bad or missed calls is all well and good but there needs to be motive for a conspiracy. I'm not seeing one.

Remember how every bad call was put under the microscope when we had the replacement refs but when we have the normal guys fucking up left and right of course nobody wants to point it out?

This exactly. I've been saying this since last year. It's an absolute joke how much scrutiny the replacement refs got considering most of their mistakes were due to the rule differences between the leagues they used to officiate for and the NFL. The amount of big blown calls has not changed since the "real" refs came back.

That would mean that in 2012, the NFL wanted SF to get their 6th Lombardi but the dumbass SF returner had the dropsies and the refs were unable to sway that game even though they gave it their best. Next year is yours!
So, your team shows up in 2013 and makes the dance. You bums were so inept that you were getting blown out by Baltimore in the 1st half. The only thing the NFL could think of was to shut down the light system in stadium as a way to reboot the game. Again, the NFL tried their best, but you loser's lost again.
The NFL has now given up on providing you with another Lombardi as your team can't even field a gift of a trophy.
