The zebras have been OFF on some calls. I'm not talking the occasional PI that got missed, I'm talking major issues:
(And feel free to add your own)
Packers - Steelers game.
First, the Steelers block a FG, gain possession, fumble then swat it out of bounds. By rule the Steelers should have had the ball but they gave it to Green Bay and the Packers eventually got a TD.
Then with seconds remaining in the 4th, they spot the ball but wont let GB snap it but wind the clock anyway.
KC - San Diego.
Going for a punt fake the Chargers picked up the first but there was no measurement. Why?
On the botched FG attempt the Chargers had 7 men lined up on one side of the ball. There should have been a flag thrown on that and KC should have been awarded another attempt.
Dallas - Philly.
Dallas completed a pass and it was in the field of play. The ball was spotted but instead of giving the 'Boys 40 seconds to get off the next play - which is what should have happened - the clock started from the 25 second mark. Dallas got called for delay of game and bumped back 5 yards. They WOULD eventually get a TD on that drive but still....that's a hell of mistake to make.
What's going on with the ref's lately? Do we drug test these guys?
