As it turned out, the wife did purdy good with the meal. The turkey was perfect, the collard greens were too, and instead of our traditional hoppin john, she made some kind of sweet potato thingy, which was pretty damn good as well. A+ meal in my book. Might have to give her the ol pickle tickle as a reward.
