What? Why ? NFL place Sea/GB in early game

With only 1 West coast team left standing against 3 East Coast teams the NFL put the Green Bay @ Seattle game in the 12pm time slot and the Indy @ New England in the late slot. This Makes no Sense to me at all. With the way it fell you could have Indy and New England playing at 3pm EST and the Hawks playing at 3:30 PM PST where as this makes Green Bay play at 6:30pm EST no real advantage here. But no they force the Hawks to play a Early game -.-

lol some times i just want to kick someone in the noggin. A #1 vs #2 match-up is better than a #1 vs #4 and should have been given the later time slot.

what gets me is WHY 12? why not just do a 1 and 4? there is no need for a 12pm game at all. it's not like you got 16 games going on. You got 2 games is all so play one at 1pm PST and the other at 4pm PST.

Because they don't want the late game going that late.

Truth be told I'm surprised that they decided to put the Seahawk game early. If they switch the games, then the Pats-Colts game is still in the day and will be warmer.

yup everything just rotates. Last year, our divisional game vs NO was the early kick, this year vs, Car the late game. Last year our CG was the late game, this year its the early game.

File this under no big deal. It's not like their making us play at 10am......

Local businesses can't like the earlier slot. I'm sure they'll still get plenty of customers after the game, but it can't be as much as beforehand when it's a late afternoon start.


One cool aspect is you can find a place to plop down after and watch the AFCC. Last year when we had the later slot, the tailgate I was at had the AFCC on some TVs but there was too much going on at the tailgate to really pay close attention and enjoy the game. I wonder if Touchdown City will be open after (and selling beer).

Sweet! As someone in Chicago I appreciate the earlier game. And it's still 12PM/2PM for Green Bay. Fair for both teams. I wish they did this more in the NFL but with most teams east coast it doesn't really work out that way. Someone has to pay the price. Last year New Orleans had to with that late game.
