Replacement of the Blue Turf at Boise State begins today. Here's a photo that kinda sorta depicts what the new turf will look like. I say kinda sorta because this photo isn't really accurate as
the new turf will be extended all the way to the stands on the west side of the stadium (as depicted in this photo) yet the east side will only be extend 8 to 12 feet from where the old turf ended. Extending the turf all the way to the east stands would limit planned future renovations to that side of the stadium.
The replacement is slated to be done by May 30th. NONE of the old turf will be made available to anyone as it was in simply awful condition. Fact is it SHOULD have been replaced at least two years ago. The old turf will be sent back to the manufacturer of that turf to be recycled.
