Lose to Yanks in Play-in?
Yeah, Houston is falling off the pace here. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Rangers jump them; Texas has been one of the best teams in the second half.
Haven't looked at schedules so i don't know who has the tougher row to hoe between Minny and the Stros.
To answer OP's query: Meh.
Houston schedule is the following
3 @ LAA
4 @ TEX
3 VS OAK
3 VS LAA
3 VS TEX
3 @ Seattle
3 @ Arizona
Twinkies remaining schedule
3 @ White Sox
3 VS Tigers
4 VS LAA
3 VS CLE
3 @ DET
4@ CLE
3 VS KC
Big advantage for the twins. Those 13 games vs the Angels & Rangers will likely decide the Stros season

Chances of Minnesota beating out Houston is very slim... 3.5 game lead is a lot with 20 or 21 games left of the season... If Houston finishes of 11-11 Minnesota has to go 15 and 8 just to have a play in game...
It's baseball though. Not impossible. That could be 1.5 games by Monday morning
What if it's Cubs v. Astros? Apocalypse?
