I don't see the need at TE -with the Big O already drafted last year - even if he was (and probably is) the best player available. Newman I just don't know much about.

I would be very concerned that Pitts just got into HUGE legal trouble....

Other then that we would win the draft if this happened. Pitts and Newsome??? I would probably be shopping a TE though.

We don't have a need at TE but Pitts is probably the safest prospect in this draft. If I had to put all my money on betting on a player making the hall of fame from this draft class it would be Kyle Pitts in a second.

I would't pick a QB only because of the bust rate but I would feel good about Trevor Lawrence.

All one has to do is go back to 1998. the Indianapolis Colts were agonizing over who to pick. The media was split 50/50 and Mel Kiper was saying right up until they picked that it would be Ryan Leaf. The draft ws in Madison Squre garden and the jets fans were hysterical because the Colts picked Peyton Manning. All you have to do is look at all of the first round busts or guys that were thought to be sure shots and endd up mired in mediocrity. Ken O'Brien, Geno Smith, Patrick Ramsey, Byron Leftwich, Rex Grossman, Matt Lienhart, Duante Culpepper, Jason Campbell, Chad Pennington, Mark Malone, Kerry Collins. Just wanted to make a point and agree with you.

Waiting until the sixth round about pick 199 worked better than a shitload of Round 1 "can't miss" guys.

I'm not huge on Pitts coming to Denver purely because we've pretty heavily in pass catchers in the past couple drafts, but if he's there at 9 you HAVE to pull the trigger. Doesn't matter if he fits a need or not, you gotta take BPA and I've seen some people say Pitts could be the best player in the draft overall.

However, I'm 99.9% certain he won't be there at 9.

He's got the knee brace off - showing himself to be faster and quicker. However, Alex Fontenot is back from injury and there might be a sharing of carries compared to last season.
