Fail. Strictly because Majors is a horrible center in our system, and he makes dumb mistakes that in fairness, might have been his dumbass qb's fault.

Add in Burden at 20 when he's falling out of round 1 and I'd be down right sick to my stomach.

Though I'll give you a pass as a fellow Laker fan.

For the record, I should have posted that this is Matt Miller's mock draft, not mine. It was also Miller who reported that Burden could be available in round 2...so there is that.

I think Burden is moving back up.

I love Burden. I don't really like this draft other then the first two picks.

For some reason, I think Judkins may very well be the guy at 51 if we don’t make a trade. We’ve definitely done our home work on him, had him in for one of the top 30 visits.

And at @LGM , if you are going to give a fail because you don’t like the 4th round pick, somehow I think the likelihood of you handing out a F is pretty promising! ;)

There's a lot of reports saying he might be the one to fall, but yeah.

I like Burden. I don't think this past year's downfall is fully on him. There are 2 things that give me pause with him and then a bunch of things that I really like.

The Bad:
1) There were times I didn't see the full effort I wanted when he wasn't the first read or the designated target on the given play. In the NFL when there will not be as many schemed plays coming his direction how is he going to handle that? I don't worry about this as much as some considering the volume of passes that the Broncos will be running with Payton at the helm, but still something to consider.
2) So much was schemed towards him. And yes you can do that some in the NFL and Payton will, but not to the degree that you do in college. This is part of why I like Loveland so much is he showed he could function without having to have forced targets coming his way. Can Burden function to the level you want for a 1st round WR without a large volume coming his way?

The Good:
1) I love that he has shown the ability to win to all levels of the field. This is something not every player can say.
2) His ability once the ball is in his hands fits perfectly with how Payton likes to function. So many passes are many 10 yards or less so you need your guy to make someone miss and Burden can do that with the best of them.
I have plenty more, but I will stop there.

This draft definitely comes with decent risk, but sometimes you have to take a chance on a player that doesn't have the cleanest picture and just trust your coaching to get the most out of them. Judkins in the 2nd is a nice choice.

What gives me pause are some of the personal things, like his GF controlling his publicity and the fact he seemed "catered to" by the coaching staff to be sure they didn't lose him to the portal. As a player I like him a lot.

I'm not a fan of this mock draft. I would rather see the Broncos take a tight end or a running back in round 1. If Ty Warren, Loveland Colston, Ashton Jeanty and Omarion Hampton are all gone before the draft gets to 20 (which is quite possible), I think there might be a defensive player that would have more impact.
