You have your priorities straight Angelakeram. Let's see, be out nearly half a grand, be cold to the bone or sit at home in the warmth and comfort of home where the kitchen fridge is just a few steps away??!! Yea like you, that decision would happen a New York minute!!!

Yea Zeke2829, PA is strange that way. A great diversity of fans unless you live close to one of the PA NFL cities like Pissburgh or Philly. I had to listen to Steelers fans bitch at Cleveland fans twice a year or vice versa because most of the fans on the Western lip of PA are diehard Steelers fans and Eastern Ohio are diehard Browns fans until you get into the middle of the state where they root for the Bungles but are not as overt about make it known in public for obvious reasons. I seldom met any Rams fans either.

Yeah, the decision is an easy one.

But, if they ever put that game in the fall, I may have to go just to say I got to see my Rams in person.

I know what you mean Zeke. I live in Seahawks country which is worse because they are a rival.

Been tempted to go watch the Rams play the Hawks in Seattle, but they always have the game in the middle of winter. Don't feel like shelling out $400 to sit outside in cold, rainy weather to watch them play when I can do it at home where it's warm:lol:

Wow ..thought I had it bad.
Word of caution, if you do decide to go to Seattle. Dont wear any RAM gear, because that is a extremely hostile place. I went to a Eagle/Ram game at the old Veteran stadium, wore my Marshall Faulk jersey, and there were guys in my face the entire game. Its really amazing that I didnt get into a fight. I had the only blue shirt on in my entire section, everyone one else had green on. I took my binoculare to the game with me a saw several fights where there was a Ram fan in the middle of it every time. Those people in Philly are ruthless. This is why I would love to go to St. Louis to watch a game.

Seatle was undefeated at home last year and the fans were a big part as to why they went undefeated. You cant hear a damm thing there, its just too loud !! I wish we could get this type of support in St Louis, but I guess when your team moves from city to city the fan base gets scattered across the countryside.

Thats loyalty. IMO..Us being Ram fans that live out of state of Missouri, makes us very loyal fans that stick with our team. We put up with a lot of crap from all of the local guys. But even we lose, we suck it up and come here to complain about it.

Yeah, I know what you mean Zeke.

Went to an Angels/Mariners game several years back and didn't wear any Angels gear for that same reason. Heck, I didn't even cheer for my team when they scored runs because I was afraid my wife and I wouldn't make it out of the stadium alive.

It's kinda hard to enjoy a game like that. I know I didn't that day and my team won. I understand team loyalty, but to make it unbearable for opposing fans to enjoy a game at their home field is really unfortunate.

Can't remember how old I was, in my early teens I guess, I, my brother and dad went to a Rams & Chargers preseason game in Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego. Roman was the Rams QB, early in his career and we were in the end zone watching the game. I was decked in my blue & white and rooting hard for the Rams. I remember my dad saying, "hey might want to keep it down", I looked around and was in the middle of about 30 San Diego State students who looked like they played for the SD State. Rams were winning, I was happy, and probably if I had not been with my dad, I might have been stuffed in a trash can. By the way, my brother was and continues to be a 49ers fan, was not happy and probably wanted the students to trash me.

Most sports in Britain have crowd segregation for this reason. It's not ideal but it's safer, (mostly), and more enjoyable.

Here's the latest on Roger
Saffold pleads his case to get back on the field for Rams

By BEN FREDERICKSON
ST. LOUIS — Rodger Saffold has been both a right tackle and a salesman lately.
Two weeks after dislocating his left shoulder, he is doing his best to convince his team’s decision makers to buy in on the belief he can play in Saturday’s preseason game against the Denver Broncos.
“Right now I feel good,” Saffold said Thursday. “I feel confident.”
“I always feel like I’m ready to go, enough to get pulled back and told, ‘Hey, calm down.’ We’ve got to think about this smart. But I’m really confident. I think me telling them how confident I feel, they could give me a chance to go. But I’m going to leave it up to Reggie [Rams head trainer Reggie Scott] and Coach Fisher.”
Saffold, who has been easing back into recent practices with the help of a brace worn beneath his pads, might not be itching for preseason reps this bad if it wasn’t for his current situation. Just two plays into his first in-game action after making the switch from left to right tackle — a swap required when the Rams signed veteran free agent Jake Long — he went down. The expected starter hasn’t been back since, missing meaningful reps in practice and, more importantly, preseason games. Saffold discussed what exactly happened in that August 8 meeting with the Browns on Thursday, and explained why he hopes to get back on the field before the Rams open the regular season in Arizona.

"I kind of got caught in a weird punch," Saffold said. "He [Cleveland linebacker Paul Kruger] tried to slap my arms. I pushed through the arms slaps. After that, I tried to work the arm. I could feel something wrong, started trying to push him, flipped over. As soon as I looked down I was like, yeah, it's out."

Former Rams running back Marshall Faulk, who was in the TV booth during the game, saw it the same way. He hinted that Saffold's misplay of the block might have contributed to the awkwardness that led to injury. Saffold didn't necessarily dispute that correlation.

"When you're in a game, the adrenaline is rushing," Saffold said. "So, you've got to be more patient sometimes than you are on the practice field. That's something you need to get a hold of so I don't put end up putting myself in bad positions, leaning and stuff like that."

Saffold isn't sure if he will play Saturday. The guy who has been filling in quite adequately behind him, Joe Barksdale, says he hasn't yet been told if he will start again, or not. That call is in Fisher's hands, and the coach isn't saying anything with certainty yet.

“Rodger was much better," Fisher said after Saffold practiced Wednesday. "It’s good to get him out, get him in pads and get him going. We’ll continue to watch him with expectations that he should be able to play.”

When, though, is the question. Saffold respects Fisher's decision. But it isn't stopping him from making his sales pitch.

"Those reps are seriously important," he said. "That's why I hope they lean toward putting me in for a little bit. And then after that I can go on from there. But I think the way we are taking it is a smart way. It feels completely stable now. I'm ready to go out and play again."

 Sounds like an he is coming around to accepting the change to RT. I know the LT gets paid more and that where he wants to be but in the Rams case, Rodger hasn't stayed on the field and that is why they went out and got Jake Long. If Saffold can play to his highest ability and stay healthy, he will get a shot at the money somewhere and the Rams will get a shot this year at the playoffs. We will see but the news is better on him at the moment.
