lol...the Sharks have had so many good chances and the Sens get a weak one.

Not really good chances, IMO... They just blindly shoot from anywhere and everywhere because that's what the coaches teach them. They'll finish with 45+ shots, 40 of them being routine ones that you and I could stop.

I suppose so. I think the Sens have played pretty well defensively despite the shot count. Anderson made a couple huge saves in the first 5 minutes of the game but hasn't had to be spectacular since then.

The Sens are short 2 forwards though so I think they'll need to spend a bit more time in the Sharks end in the third period. That is unless Smitty is back but my guess is that he'll be held out for the rest of the game.

I think it's clear that Niemi has played way too much this season. He's had a few very poor games lately. Greiss is a more than capable backup. Get him in and get Niemi some rest.


Congrats Sens fans! I don't see any kind of comeback in this one. Better team won tonight no question about it. Paul MacLean should be coach of the year IMO.

Same to you. I know when we did preseason picks I had Ottawa about 14th in the Eastern Conference. They're making me and a lot of other people look pretty foolish. Probably the surprise of the year in the NHL. I hope you guys keep it up and make the playoffs. I've always liked the Senators.

The same could be said about Turris too. I think a lot of it has to do with Paul MacLean and the atmosphere he's created in the dressing room. Everybody is feeling good about themselves and everybody is having fun.

Right now MacLean has to be the Jack Adams favorite though. I mean noboby expected the Sens to even sniff the playoffs but there they are sitting in 4th place now.

Yeah, I guess Anderson has been pretty good since he got to Ottawa. Last year he played well and it earned him a contract. This year he started off okay and the Sens won some games without him. Now they're winning games because of him. I think he was pretty frustrated with Sacco and the Avs organization. They treated him like dirt and he wanted a change. He got it and he's loved Ottawa from day 1.

I agree about Murray needing to be careful. Now is not the time to trade some young players for a rental. I feel like if he's going to make a deal, it needs to be for somebody young and somebody that will be on the team for awhile.
