Sens pretty hot lately come into California to take on the Sharks, one of the Western powerhouses.

Always kinda liked the Sharks, but hated them with Heatley. I'm glad I don't have to despise them anymore... except for tonight.

Lineups will look something like this.

Foligno - Smith - Neil
Daugavins - Konopka - Butler

Defense:

Goalies:

Scratch Clowe. He's out with a facial fracture according to TSN.

Correct. Or a trade to the Leafs according to the TO media, lol.

Good luck Kenny. Hopefully the Sharks win 3-2 in OT with Milan getting both goals for the Sens!

Who draws in for Clowe?

Also sounds like recent call-up Mark Borowiecki might get his first NHL start for the Sens on D.

Sharks forward lines will probably start the game like:

Wingels - Thornton - Pavelski
Marleau - Couture - Ferriero
McGinn - Handzus - Mitchell
Winchester - Desjardins - A. Murray

McLellan changes lines so much these will probably only last for one shift each though.

How many 1st round draft picks would Burke give for a guy with a broken face?

Let's go either team!

Always liked both. One more than the other, though.

Yeah, it looks like Borowiecki will play. It's amazing, he played in junior for the Smiths Falls Bears. It just so happens that, that is where I grew up before I moved to the States. I actually saw this guy play for the Bears a few times when I went home. He was good then but now he'll play in the NHL which is pretty amazing. The kid has come a long way.

I kinda wish Petterson was playing too but I'm sure he'll get his chance soon enough.

It should also be mentioned that the Sens have not won in San Jose since 2003. I even remember that game and I'm sure Sharks fans want to forget it. The Sens blew the Sharks out badly like 9-3 or something. Hossa went crazy in that game lol

I'm excited to see the kid play.

Amazingly, he'll be the 4th Senators pick from the 2008 draft to play for the Sens. The 5th, Andre Petersson, is a scratch tonight but will likely end playing in the NHL at some point. Pretty solid year at the draft table.

Yeah, looks like that draft will be quite the draft for the Sens.

2008
Karlsson
Smith
Wiercioch
Borowiecki
Petterson

It's pretty amazing how quickly Murray has completely turned the teams drafting fortunes around. Not long ago they had one of the worst prospect rankings and now they're in the top 5.

It is certainly his strong suit.

His weakest suit has been hiring coaches, but he looks to have got it right this time. I'm loving the way this team plays, even when they lose. Great hockey to watch.

Interesting, the Sharks are the opposite. Even when they win it has been kind of boring hockey to watch...

Until the last couple of games the Sens have been super up-tempo.

They've looked tired the last 2, TBH. Hopefully their refreshed tonight or this could get ugly.

Sens look sloppy so far.

7th game in the last 11 days, 3rd in 4. Three time zones since Tuesday's game.

This doesn't look good; Sharks score.

How's Turris been so far?

Fantastic.

Engaged. Hardworking. Surprisingly good in his own end. Nice offensive chemistry with Alfie. Even pretty decent on faceoffs.

Absolutely no complaints from me on Kyle so far.
