AFC West is sneaky good. I think a lot of people expected KC to be here but the Chargers and Raiders look...solid.

Seahawks, Patriots and Broncos are all 2-0 and will only get stronger when they get back to full strength.

Jaguars have an outside shot at 0-16

I agree with all three of those. I particularly like that someone has noticed that the W in AFCW is unlikely to stand for "worst" again.

What did the grand second week teach us?

Discuss.

AFCW...In spite of wins by KC, OAK, and SD...DEN will eventually separate and win the AFCW by 2 or 3 games.

AFCE...the talent is very evenly spread...MIA could very well end NE's reign as DIV champ

AFCN...no stand out team.

AFCS...TN is better than I thought...probably will split with HOU.

NFCW...AZ is a much improved team, SEA will probably go 7-1 (at worst) at home

NFCE...the new black and blue DIV...won't be decided until the final week of the season, only DIV winner makes the playoffs.

NFCN...GB will win the DIV

NFCS...NO & ATL are the class of the DIV, both will make the playoffs

We learned that the Clink is the loudest stadium in the world and that teams that have to go there to play will have some serious headaches.

Too bad they can't play all their games there.

The AFC is 5-1 vs the NFC this year. I thought the NFC was supposed to be the better conference?

NFC teams that made the playoffs last year had a very strong record against AFC playoff teams. I suspect that will hold up again this year.

The EAGLES will go 8-8 and be entertaining.

2012 - Bad boring offense + horribly bad defense
2013 - Exciting offense + possibly worse defense

Every game will be 35-32 or 41-47 type of games.

Considering they were a horrible team to watch in 2012, we will take it.

It has been a while since you wanted to watch an Eagles game (win or lose) for the entertainment value of arena football.

I don't think they have the depth to run this kind of offense all year long. Yes it looks good now but adding that extra 10-12 plays a game on both the offense and defense means they are all playing almost an extra 2 games worth of plays. Like I said if they had some depth then yes it is possible but they just don't have it this year since they have been depleted of talent with the mass exodus of players this past off season.

That's why it works in CFB...80+ man rosters...No NFL team does...they will wear down before DEC...PHI doesn't seem to have the DEF to be a playoff team.

Small sample size but they might be around even. Lots of turnover problems and penalty problems in the NFC

If the SF offense can't communicate they suck
Teams are going to have to score at least 40+ points to beat Denver
Dolphins are a top team in the AFC
Redskins need to start faster
Titans are going to compete in the AFCS

The Ravens can communicate and they suck.

So far, not much learned, mainly stuff that has been confirmed:

1) The Chiefs will easily be the most improved team, even if they only win 7 games.
2) The Jags will improve their draft position over last year.
3) The Colts are coming back to earth.
4) You can't base an NFL offense on getting the ball back to the other team as fast as possible.
5) Peyton Manning will either win a Super Bowl or set a record for most playoff losses in NFL history.

Kind of debatable considering there is this guy that has thrown 9 touchdowns to 0 interceptions through the first 2 games of the season and has his offense on pace to be top 5 all-time. You might have heard of him...his name is Peyton Manning.

the only thing we learned so far is the patriots defense is back to being ELITE. and that is every non-patriot fans nightmare.

Really? We've learned that against the Bills and Jets? Maybe we should revisit that in a month after their Atlanta, Cincinnati, New Orleans stretch.
