in a post a week or two ago, I said I would be okay with Smith in the 3rd. But not at #34. Just crazy risk. Could have gotten a year one contributor - preferably a pass rusher. Now we probably draft a QB in the 3rd and the defense gets the scraps in the 4th - yet again.

Let's look at both ways....if Room stats healthy, we are better than we were two years ago. If he goes down, we are picking in the top 10. The Cowboys tried to trade up for Lynch, they will either go QB in the 3rd or early next draft. With Zeke and put OL, and hopefully a superstar defender in Smith, a young QB might have a chance in 17, 18 and 19

I don't like drafting for future years when we probably have a project or real young QB learning the NFL in those years. I draft for this year and next not 2018 after Smith has been off a football field for a year and a half

With a qb I'm on board for that. But one more injured player, one more bad knee? Too many of these. Jj loves this shit for some reason. No question he is a great player but will he be again? TBD.

I think that is exactly happened. I think it was mostly Ogbah by the way they were on the phones like crazy after they picked but probably they wanted either of the two. Looked like they must have been calling every team in the league. Caught with their pants down again...

Completely ridiculous they had basically 2 picks in the 1st round and came away w nothing to help the defense knowing you have 2 guys suspended at least 4 games
