It is a head scratcher, but maybe Olli and his agent are thinking hey we're getting another 10.5 million guaranteed, that's pretty good, I doubt we'll get this from another team

From Olli's standpoint, I sign that contract in a heartbeat. From Utah's perspective, it is odd. Sorry should have mentioned why was in reference to Utah.
No Maatta what he is on their roster for 2.5 seasons with the hope a playoff contending team takes him at the trade deadline in 2028 for defensive filler for the playoffs?

If I recall correctly, the joke at the time was is the total 2.9 million over three seasons? No, it's 2.9 million per season lol
