I was before, but a harmless joking with someone got me banned! lol

By the way, what's your thoughts on that second and short pass play call while Nebraska was nursing a 3 point lead with eight minutes to play? Do you think a running play should have been called, considering our defense has been so erratic especially lately? A TD in that drive would have been great, even a FG would have been nice.

I would have run it. First downs are big for drives, you gotta get them to give yourself another 3 downs. They were only up 4 and at the very minimum it would have eaten more clock and gotten the team into FG range on the next 3.

If Beck was so inclined that he thought a long ball was in the cards, do it on the 1st down you likely could have picked up.

That Bo didn't tell him to run the ball. That he didn't tell Beck not to throw it. It's what Bo didn't say as opposed to what he said.

Like Bo said, that didn't lose the game all by itself. Whether he knows it or not, in a sense he is admitting that there is a fundamental problem within the program. I can't believe for a second he doesn't realize it.

I know, but damn it, you have just got to run it in that situation to keep that VITAL drive alive and very possibly, the way Nebraska was driving, to score some points. Also, since TA was taking a shotgun snap, shouldn't he have had enough time to throw the ball away, instead of taking a damn sack there? I have the game on my DVR. I'm going to rewatch those last eight minutes or so.

I actually agreed with the call, though. It was 2nd and 1 so you have essentially 2 downs to get 1 yard. Any good team is probably going to consider taking a shot in that situation.

Problem is, Tommy is not well-disciplined, and his decision to not ever throw he ball away gets him and his Offense into trouble.

This is what I heard as well as read also. And "going deep" is pretty much Bos "MO". Heaven forbid to suggest a quick out of three years to get the first down.

Pressed again about How often he makes an offensive call?

Bo: "Every now and then, I didn't make the actual call, but duh I didn't say let's run the football neither. So, you know what you live and learn."

This is the main reason why that was a friggin horrible play call in that critical situation, but according to Bo it's no big deal, it's only one game.

Maybe one of the coaches should have large 5'x5' posters to hold up for TA after he takes a snap such as, "run the ball" or "throw the ball away" in certain situations. I know, I know there isn't any time for a QB to look at the sidelines during a play, but this thought just popped into my mind and made me snicker!
