When your other options for 1st/2nd line center are Talbot, Dupuis, Rupp, and Adams, you're just thankful for the warm body.

Well, I remember watching him light it up in preseason and he's a guy with possibility to put up good offensive numbers. And he's fast. Looking at our lineup for forwards, this is a nice sight.

I agree with all the above except the bold.

He looks fast because he's about 5'6 and his legs move fast, but I've almost never seen anyone be beat by his speed.

He can be a really smart offensive player and he's crafty. I've always liked him as a player. He could definitely put up some decent numbers with Sid. I think he could even possibly fill in as a second line C if your guys feel like Staal is still better suited to a checking line role.

Yeah I wouldn't call him fast either. I also worry about he and Kovalev on a line together which could be a nightmare defensively. Not like we have a ton of options though.

Why would it take anything other than a loss by the Canes or a Pens win?

They can only make up 16 points in winning then all and we would be up 16 with 9 more wins.

If I had to Guess the devils play will be determined by our third line.In our past 6 games Kovy has not been able to finish our second line hasnt done much and they were the most productive line in the wins.Aside from A couple games where we didn't give up A lot of shots Clarky and the kids have been our only bright spot as of late.

By reading it would seem that we just have to gain one point on them in the standings and we're in. The numbers game has always confused me. I'm merely a sheep that relays the facts I see *shrugs* Some of the bigger name reporters were saying this, so I just assumed.
