That's a good point Will. My thinking is week 11 for Vareen but with his injury I think he will be able to be productive right off the bat...............not so sure about Crabby. The league I picked Vereen up in runs all the way to week 17 SB so a possible 6 weeks of Vereen+3 hurt RB's (Foster,Martin and Tate)=What the hell! Lol.

The problem with vereen is that the preseason valuation of him included the fact that Gronk was out, and what the patriots would do without Gronk and welker... With Gronk back, then isnt vereen what he was last season?? an inconsistant RB who occasionally had the big game...

That preseason valuation also accounted for Ridley being the "primary" back. .a role grew had hardly took off and ran with. Between the two, it kinda balances out to me.

Yea, but the last 2 weeks riddley looks like he reclaimed the lead back role...

The trouble with owning NE backs is that you might start them, and then you're at the mercy of Belichick.

Everybody is making good points but my point is there really isn't anything better on the wire as far as RB's go and right now I have Martin, Foster, Tate, Gore and DMC. Seems like Vereen is worth the gamble.....

As Will said, it's a crapshoot no matter what way you look at with those guys, BUT, Brandon Boldin was on the field for nearly twice as many snaps as Ridley (48-26)..and most of those were in the first half, 2 weeks ago it was virtually even but slightly favored Ridley (31-37). Ridley did outtouch Boldin...but Vereen ain't Boldin either.
But back to the crapshoot..even just looking at this 2 week window, it's obvious that it's all dependent on the Hoodie's crazy gameplan on any particular week, but both the "lead" back and the "third down" back are on the field a lot in this offense.

Most leagues you can probably wait another week on Crabtree; everybody seems to be sleeping on him.
