Number of voters continues to dwindle. Likely because fans are leaving the forums when their teams lose.

I believe the was 24seven. He uses a model that takes a teams quality of wins and what not and puts them further up. Since they have had the best win this season so far, that's where his model put them.

I have no problem with KSU being number 1 ( although I had them 6th). A thorough thrashing of Miami and a road win over a top team at the toughest place in CFB to accomplish a road win is enough to justify a number 1 ranking. No other team has a better win.

True; just depends on how you "rank" teams.

Yeah ranking teams is each mans opinion. Of course we probably all should rank teams ONLY based on who theyve played, who theyve beat and who theyve lost to as opposed to the analysts favorite the "eyeball test" ( talk about stupid) but the problem is that we really dont know how good any of these teams are this year yet. We can assume that winning at Oklahoma is a great win but if OU goes 6-6 then it wasnt really all that great was it?? We can assume that ND beating Michigan State is a great win but if Sparty goes 7-5 then was it really that good?? We can assume alot of things this early but it doesnt really mean shit. That of course is the problem with pre-season rankings. My team gets a ton of credit for beating a number 5 ranked Texas team early in the year that ends up 7-5 or gets no credit for beating an unranked Iowa State team that ends up 10-2 etc etc.

This is why I start fresh each week and disregard wins over no-longer-ranked teams. My rankings are not a prediction of final results, just a chart of current status (a leaderboard, sort of). So, yes, they will become more accurate as more data is produced by teams revealing themselves (instead of depending on factors like when my gf is on her period, or how drunk I am, or what Nick Saban's horoscope says, etc.).

BTW, did I mention your wife's tits?

I don't see a problem with KSU being # 1 after winning in Norman and destroying Miami.

Although Alabama was # 1 in my poll any of these other teams could have a case for # 1after their play so far:

Oregon, Georgia, Kansas State, Florida State, Texas, Stanford, Florida, LSU, and South Carolina
