hard to blame a defense that is making stops, causing sacks, turnovers and scoring points ...

when they're not getting help on the other side of the ball staying on the field.

Brandon Merriweather missed 2 tackles on that drive - the first changed what should have been an 11-yard play into a 30-yard play and the second was a touchdown. Honestly, cut this piece of garbage.

Rambo, Doughty, and Merriweather - this is the worst collection of safeties our team has ever had (and we've had some BAD groups).

We can only pray that Allen/Shanahan address SS and CB in the offseason. The more I think about it, the more I actually think that we need 2 offseasons to fix this mess. We literally need upgrades at the following to be competitive: CB, SS, ILB, WR, C, RT and LG. That is 7 players that we need. Free agency and the draft can probably get us 5 starters max. We would also have maxed out of cap room yet again. We are not in a good situation.
