Game Thread: Week 2: Chicago Bears at Denver Broncos

Well both teams are coming off disappointing week 1 losses with the Bears open as 1.5 point favorites.

Denver overall played a little better in the second half in Oakland, but overall it was very disappointing. The Bears only were able to muster 3 points against the Packers. I believe this will a defensive battle.

Passing: Ranked 23rd with 208 yards per game.
Rushing: Ranked 28th with 46 yards per game.
Scoring: Ranked tied for 31st with 3 points per game.

Passing: Ranked 7th with 166 yards per game.
Rushing: Ranked 8th with 47 yards per game.
Scoring: Ranked 5th with 10 points per game.

Turnover Differential: Tied at 14th with 0.

Denver Broncos:

Total: Ranked 21st with 344 yards per game.
Passing: Ranked 17th with 249 yards per game.
Rushing: Ranked 21st with 95 yards per game.
Scoring: Ranked tied for 25th with 16 points per game.

Defense: (Chargers and Rams are showing no stats)
Total: Ranked 17th with 357 yards per game.
Passing: Ranked 17th with 259 yards per game.
Rushing: Ranked 15th with 98 yards per game.
Scoring: Ranked 16th with 24 points per game.

Turnover Differential: Tied at 14th with 0.

This is an interesting game but I would give the Bears a slight edge overall with 10 days to prepare and their Defense seems to be playing better at this point.

Let's hope for steady improvements each game and some our dept and hurt players start to show up or yes this season is going to get away quickly.

Well we play like that all season we will win the #1 derby

Miami plays with NYY and the BB in their division that means a couple wins

This is must win if we want playoff spot. Our SOS is too rough to overcome a slow start Sept. I just want to see growth from staff and team each week.

I think the lack of 1st teamer preseason live action work - showed in the 1st half last night.

I was pleased with Flacco's performance and Sutton's.

No body ought to have a better idea on how to attack the Bear's defense than Fangio.

I think we will see a lot OL growth all season so maybe got that as well I just wish we would get a young OL that played together for a couple of years at a time. all this turn over sucks.

Okay in the interest of optimism I am predicting a broncos win.

Defense reigns, and I think our unit rebounds from that walk through against the Raiders and lives up to the hype this week. Offense will look ugly but do enough late.

I think you are selling our players short. The place I think the Bears have an advantage would be ILB. I do think this will be a defensive game, and turnovers likely will the deciding factor.

I really don't like this match up for the Broncos, but it is at home and the Broncos (if they are thinking playoffs) should have motivation to even up their record. One of the things I don't like from the match-up - though is that the Bear's Defense will have motivation to play well - in front of their old coach.

Flacco and the WR and RBs will have to execute with precision to beat this defense - plus be patient enough to take what the defense gives them.

Broncos are not getting run over today but they seem just off a little bit yet.

The offense really needs to be successful on 1st down. To say they struggle when they get behind the sticks would be an understatement.

The defense started off well against the run but now getting pushed off the line a bit.
