It actually doesn't look bad. Color me surprised. Wisconsin is still too low though. Doesn't matter what FBS team you play. Back to back shutouts is impressive.

Those 4 homers really love them some Arizona State.

I hate when early season polls put teams with a loss ahead of teams who are still undefeated. You haven't seen enough of anybody to make that kind of apples to oranges comparison yet, except in very rare circumstances.

What about ranking teams ahead of others that have beaten them?

a la #27 Cal and #23 Washington.

Dude, they beat you here, remember? :susp:

1. Husky Stadium (Washington Huskies)
Highest Recorded Decibel Level: 133

In 1992 the sound levels in Husky stadium reached 133.6 dB during a game against Nebraska (Washington was ranked No. 1 at the time). Long recognized as one of the loudest stadiums in the nation due to the stadium’s design; almost 70 percent of the seats are located between the end zones, covered by cantilevered metal roofs that trap the sound.

I'd like to give that post a like but it's all about the context.

OSU shut out an 11-win team from last year by 42 and dropped too. I guess beating Texas by a TD is suddenly a big deal.

Cal played great, but it was an odd game. If Cal gets up to 5-1 or so, I'd like them to jump UW.

The team that impressed me the most was USC. Stanford has some defense and they tore them apart. This may just be the year they come back.

It's early and only 4 spots separating them anyway. If Cal's not worthy they'll show it. If Washington's worthy they'd climb back in. It was head-to-head in Husky Stadium.

Regarding USC, don't forget the close call against Fresno St. I expected Fresno to beat Minnesota outright, but that didn't happen. We also don't know how good Stanford was at #23.
