Why shouldn't Hunt pickup that ball? Why does it HAVE to be Baker?

It goes back to the Holy Roller play....Raiders down with seconds left vs Chargers...Stabler about to get sacked, fumbles ball forward...another Oakland player pushes it forward as he's being hit...Dave Casper pushes ball into end zone...falls on it for TD and Oakland wins on that play...the last play of the game

But Hunt is trying to pick up the Ball so the Jets don't recover it.

Oh second look it looked like Baker fumbled it BACKWARDS and Hunt recovered it and fell forward, that would mean the ball can be advanced. Wouldn’t be surprised if they blew it but the Browns played awful and anything that could have went wrong did. Again not surprised...it’s the Browns

Browns must win Vs Steelers next week. Likely wins by Colts (Vs Jags), Ravens (at Bengals) Even if Dolphins and Browns lose the Dolphins would get #7

Nope...fumbling the ball forward on purpose is why the rule is in place...so no, it should go back to where it was fumbled if offensive teammate recovers...otherwise you could be a yard short, 4 guys tackling you, but teammate is 3 yards forward with nobody around them, just fumble forward to gain needed yards...and the rule is only in place for the last 2 minutes
