Hoke won't be fired unless Brandon is. Firing Hoke would be Brandon admitting he screwed up. Ain't happening, at least this soon.

Besides, they won this week. They're BACK!

Mack is done. And his buyout is not that big, its actually surprisingly cheap, only 1.5 mill.

I don't think Florida fires Muschamp. I think last season buys him another year. Unless he blows his cool and does something mind blowingly stupid, I think he survives until next year.

Cutcliffe to a bigger job?

Nah, he likes Duke. No pressure to win more than he does, he gets to work with kids that can understand a playbook without a tutor, He has the support of the administration, the student and the fans.

Now if the expectations change and they want more and more, then he will need to grow the football team to be like Stanford at some point and that might be a bit difficult and cause him to go someplace with less academic standards so he can recruit different players. For now, he has it made though.

WVU won't fire holgorsen. Luck pushed 9 win a year bill Stewart out for Holgorsen. Sure the competition changed but Luck won't fire Dana this year. It's kind of like what Michigan has going on.

Hoke isn't out of the woods yet. They lost three of four going into that NW game and they escaped their with a W. Don't forget, NW is 0-6 in the Big Ten this year.

They've got a tough road game @ Iowa and then finish out the season at home against Ohio State. Remember, the biggest reason why Lloyd Carr was "essentially" fired from Michigan was because he couldn't beat Ohio State and it's not like Rich Rodriguez and Brady Hoke have faired much better. Michigan has only beaten Ohio State once since Carr left the program and it doesn't look like Michigan's chances are too promising this year.

If the Wolverines finish 7-5 and perhaps lose their bowl game, they'll be looking for a new coach. The only real question is, when do the Wolverines fire Hoke if they do? There are a lot of big time football programs looking for coaches right now and Michigan could be falling to the wayside if they don't decide on whether to keep Hoke for another year or fire him and look elsewhere.

Really? How many more does Pelini have to lose before they decide enough is enough?

Yes really. How many does a guy have to win in order for his job to be safe these days? 10? 11?
