Steelers went through a dryspell like that some years ago. The pass rush was non-existent and their defense relied on it to create turnovers. Didn't have any CBs worth a damn to help.

Alex Smith operates on osmosis more than anything; if it ain't open, he ain't throwin'. Though to be fair he has done well in tight windows for the most part this year when he has pulled the trigger. Tyreek Hill and Kelce going to be running open... a lot.

Alex Smith as the QB makes one inflate the actual of CB's to an exponential degree. But yes, this should be correct even against the wind.
